Here is a reposting of the previous unsolved riddles:

Who am I?
I’m bold and I'm brave, unafraid of death.
I saved a poor hobbit from the black breath.
I fooled Mordor’s servants into shredding some beds,
And I’m the best darn waiter a table did spread!

and...

Out from the mountains’ foot I ran.
Ten leagues around, then back again.

Here's a clue: Of animal, mineral, or vegetable, I am mineral.

a new riddle:

Name the three sites
Fourth Age hobbits were curious creatures.
A study of history was one of their features.
Three sites in the Shire contained most of this lore.
They went there to study what had gone on before.

Yet another riddle:

Seated upon black knees
in a deep gulf of shadow,
lit with a light that illuminated nothing.
Countless black holes looking inward to emptiness,
it's ghostly head turning slowly, leering into the night.

Here is a reposting of a previous unsolved riddle:

Out from the mountains’ foot I ran.
Ten leagues around, then back again.

Here's a clue: Of animal, mineral, or vegetable, I am mineral.

No, sorry Elf Girl. It is not mithril. Here's another clue...
The mineral I was referring to is stone.

another clue: The mountain is in Gondor.

How can I take this losing hand and somehow win?

Just give me One Good Year To get my feet back on the ground.
I've been chasing grace; Grace ain't so easily found
One bad hand can devil a man, chase him and carry him down.
I've got to get out of here, just give me One Good Year!

You are so close I'm going to give it to you. The answer is not the guards, but Minas Morgul itself! Nicely done Rosie Gamgee!

some clues for unsolved riddles...

Name the three sites
Fourth Age hobbits were curious creatures.
A study of history was one of their features.
Three sites in the Shire contained most of this lore.
They went there to study what had gone on before.

The sites are libraries and the answer can be referenced in the prologue to LOTR.

Out from the mountains’ foot I ran.
Ten leagues around, then back again.

clues: what ran from the mountains' foot was made of stone. The mountain referred to is in Gondor. The 10 leagues is a point to pay attention to. A stone structure 10 leagues long is quite a feat of engineering.

Undertowers, Great Smials, and Brandy Hall are the correct sites. Carafin has found the answer (by any means he could). Good job Carafin, and thanx for participating in the riddle thread.

A new riddle:

Formerly a country vast
it's ruin wrought by War of Wrath.
A tiny remnant beyond the Blue,
a Land of Song (and sailors too).
