Hi, you guys! Yeah I'm in - but until my boyfriend reprograms the home computer, which has been rendered totally useless due to an insane spyware blitzkrieg, I can't really post - except for whenever I can steal a rare moment on his work laptop, like I'm doing right now...
You guys, I LOVE Gollum-Smeagol as Yoda the Grocer! I'll be back to posting regularly after the computer comes home from the hospital.

Some of you where very good about dialog concerning the True owner of the Package and the wraiths . . . could use some discusion about Sar-baby's prediciment in the tower and his flying visitor why he was there and ect. ect.

As for the encounter with Faramir & Co my thoughts on they are as follows:

The men should be dressed in camouflage combat fatigues and armed with Stoner sniper rifles (special rifles with built-in grenade launchers), TOW Guided missile launchers and mini-guns.

well here's a wierd and wacky idea: it hit me the other day , similiar to how Pratchett has inspiration motes (or particles) fleeting through the universe doomed to hit someones head etc ....

Gollum, aka Smeagol aka Yoda ... is hissing and grammatically backssswardsly taking the 2 Homies towards this secret and hard to find / explain entrance into Mordor: this wierd gap in sauron's defences ....

OK ...just an idea..let me know if its too wierd ...

y'know how the teacup cafe is a virtual cafe transcending times zones, cultures, geography , spatial reality and often just good old plain reality? (whilst still serving a mean bacon and mushroom sandwich and being just the good old same place every time! ) ?

well how about in Lyrders .... this wierd route into Mordor that gollum (aka ... etc) had already stumbled across in the past was a time/space distortion where the virtual teacup cafe conjoined both with our humble - or Gw's great, thread here in the moot with a reality hot spot in this timezone in Middle earth .... i.e. : was a portal from the morgul vale, via endless stairs - the cafe has 1000 floors! and since the hippo got into the lift it hasn't been working properly .... upto shelob's lair etc?

the basic posts could be the same but we could have some real fun on the way up crossing threads as we bump real-time (or not! into cafe' mooters along the way and also - and this is the bit i like - esp as nurv is currently away - but i am sure she'd love it - we could copy some (not all) but some of the posts completely randomly into the teacup cafe thread: i imagine they hear or see it as some sort of ghostly echo : same in our Lyrder reality: any teacup reality filtering through would be seen, felt and heard as some after echo or half -reality in an other-worldly way?

Could be great fun and a great way to join the moot threads and community together .... esp if to some or most over there it would be totally out of the blue! great fun though: i can't see anyone objecting!

Yes, it might work. But first...

Sam going off to find alternative fuel to his gas stove and seeing the thin smoke going up into the air from above the camp, rushing back, seeing that he hadn't shut it off properly.

Faramir & Co tramping up, encountering they know not what and the ensuing conversation, escorting the Hobbits to the Ithilian Mountain Retreat and so on...

Butterbeer.....I'm stunned with respect! (huh?) Errr, you know what I mean. I LOVE the idea about the teacup cafe, I think we need to keep "chatter" about it to a minimum to keep 'fun & real'.

This summer I'm either working, camping, in a canoe, reading a book, playing a computer game....or writing with the Lyrders!

It's quite all right. There was discussion of beginning a new thread for the second part, but then we just continued in the old one. This part, if you've seen the reply, is called The Four Towers.
