My favourite RPG, all categories, is Final Fantasy Adventure for Gameboy. Ah, it makes me nostalgic
I've only played FFV, and I liked it. The combat system was surprisingly good for such an old game.

Hmm, not sure how to explain to you if you don't get it. For me, it's a visual appreciation of world-building, more than anything. Scenery, music, etc. Exploration isn't about hack 'n slash. It's about getting lost in a world. Whether it's catacombs, a castle, an island, a street-scape. Whatever. Getting totally consumed in a world. Listening to the sounds & music. Appreciating the artistic license. That sort of thing. Similar to appreciating words in a book, or or cinematography in a movie, or the paint on a canvas.

Wait, am I in this club?

AlSo, plots of favorite games:

PATAPON - You are the god of a race of primitive eyeball creatures. You control them through beating your four drums. Send them hunting to aquire food, fight dragons to get materials to make better warriors, and fight the opposing army to get to "Earthend" meaning heaven.

DESTROY ALL HUMANS - You are a three foot tall, GREY alien. Run around cliche 50's American cities studing humans and taking their brains to fuel your race's cloning machine. Make silly jokes and pop culture references.

DARWATCH - You are a vampire part of a secret group that kills vampires. Try to shoot them in the head.

That is a good description. Sometimes when the plot of the game starts to come together, you feel almost as excited as when you're turning the pages of a gripping chapter. In a way a good game can draw you in more than a book, because it's you who is moving the character and making the decisions, you're less of a spectator.

Same as before health-wise, but rather good otherwise

With my parents out of the house a lot of tension went away, so that's good ^_^
My grandmother's health is slightly better, so that's less of a worry too.

Basically I just got a grip

How's the bacteria? *snorts* and how is the little rascal that got you your scars on your hand? Did you find someone to go to the Fantasy Fair with yet? I have tickets for Saturday (I think).

The bacteria itself seemed defeated by the antibiotics, yeay! The allergy tests were inconclusive so we'll probably never know what kept the bacterial infection going for a bloody four months. But the wound is very slowly clearing up now. I won't say I'm cured until it's all completely gone, but I think we're finally getting there.

My scratches are healing well too, no scars, except maybe the cut on my wrist, that was a bit deeper. Meetings between the two cats are still very hostile. But I now lure Tyrfing away with catnip candy when he gets too worked up. I've learned my lesson, no more picking up kitten if he's tensed up.

For the Fantasy Fair, I'm still waiting for my friend's reply, she tends to take her time. (Which is why I mailed her two months in advance this time.) Did you manage to find company yourself?

Well, if the candy works, that's great!

Yes, let's hope it goes and stays gone! >_< Otherwise we'll unleash the terrible wrath of... of... of something I'll think of later on it! o(>_<)O

My friend says she'd buy the tickets, but I think I should prompt her again or she'll forget, haha! That's why I said 'I think' earlier. She said she would but...
If Saturday doesn't work out, we can still go on Sunday, but I'd rather not. I'm trying to decide on whether I'll go in style or just as my normal self... I'd love to dress up as a fairy, but we'd be going by train and I'd need to get me some clothes in that case... >_<

Hehe true. My point was that it would be embarrassing to be a fairy on the train when everyone else is normal though
I wouldn't be able to get my friend to dress up, so... I'll see what I can do though. I DO happen to know they sell wearable wings at the Fantasy Fair... I've always wanted a pair of those. *dreamy look*
When we were young we had a box with all sorts of clothes and hats and we (my sister, our friends and I) would dress up and make up lots of stories. Back then our attic wasn't a room yet, but a spooky place with lots of stuff and not much daylight so that was the perfect place to hide. We also ran around through our neighbourhood dressed up though. Back then I didn't feel embarrassed. Besides, we did it as a group.
Good memories.

Well, the closer you get to the Fair, the less normal people you will find on the train. A few years ago when I went by train (had to change trains at least three times) we noticed a distinct... shift in train travellers the closer we got. The first time ever, I suppose, that people clad in furs, carrying swords can be seen as a reasuring sign. At least then we knew we were on the right train.

Half the fun from dressing up comes from the similarly attired company, I've learned. Just not as fun, doing it alone...

You always get odd looks when you do it alone.
