I withdraw my canditature for president of Entmoot. The reasons are, among other, that I am not being taken seriously (as Hector, I wonder why?) and too many of my good friends and neighbours are going for it.

My support now goes to Nurvingiel's campaign for electing Tolkien honourable president of Entmoot. As the inventor of the Entmoot and the source and foundation of this forum's existence I think he is the perfect candidate.

I am seriously considering withdrawing from the race. Nothing against Jonathan, but I was so looking forword to running against JD and hopefully whipping him at his own game (dirty politics). I think he decided not to run because he would look so foolish if he lost. The way he wags that political tongue all the time. Anyway, I have not decided yet, but I have no manager. I have no fancey avatars to campaign with, and JD and Jonathan put me at an unfair advantage. Also, I will not mention any names, but I happen to know that JD is useing bribes to obtain votes, and he is also waging a smear campaign to sway my supporters.

I remember when John Kennedy (sp) was president, but people said: 'we all know that it is Bobby Kennedy that is running the White House and country.' The team of Jonathan and JD reminds me of this. You elect Jonathan, but JD will run the show and take the glory (guarenteed) Another Jon and Bob

That is such a lie. I just felt that it would be cool for my good friend Jonathan to be president.

And your comment about me taking all the glory about his avatar - that was a mistake. I was tired when I typed that and you know it. I had forgotten that he had put his picture in it - then I animated it and put the "Jonathan" part there.

And there a no bribes. But the thing is - people know that Jonathan will represent the mooters. You are an admin and insider - you will support the admins. We need a mooter who will support the normal people. Not someone who thinks they are a queen and routinely takes out her admin stick to beat people with.

That JD will take control is not going to happen. Neither JD nor any of the admins is going to affect my decisions. I am just a normal mooter like the voters, and I will listen to them before listening to the mods and admins. How else could I represent the Moot?

An ordinary mod could use his/her 'abilities' to get an advantage - You could in addition bribe everyone with Belgian chocolate . Hey, you might even convince me to vote for you

Just for everyone's information, being a mod or admin has nothing to do with anything. We are all mooters, and if being an admin has an advantage in this race, just think of all the favors you could have by voting for one. I am not resorting to bribry like some other person I know, but just pointing out that it is really unfair to eliminate candidates because they are staff. The president of Entmoot is just a symbolic position. I mean, if Jonathan or any non staff member wins, what are they really going to do? They have no power.
