The Mojave High Desert is like this otherworldly fantasy place, with a strong and unique and powerful spirit of its very own - the dirt, the rocks, the myriads of plants and animals, the way the air smells and the stillness and sanctitiy of everything - what a beautiful wonderland.

Grammar school definisition of "desert": Place with less than three inches of rain per year.
Actual definition of a desert: An inhospitable tract of land. I think the Mojave is such because of the former of the two definitions. I am sorry to say I can't identify a single bit of the flora and fauna in any of those pictures.

Neither can I! But they're so beautiful, aren't they? I wonder what part of Middle Earth a place like the Mojave and Joshua Tree would be, maybe Ithilien somewhere? Or furthur down south, probably, but it'd have to be down south and up in a high elevation mountain range... I wonder where it would be if it existed like this is Middle Earth...

Thank ou, babe! Grazi molto! Oh, man I got the opportunity to take so many great shots when I went up to Joshua Tree in October; that was a beautiful trip. That place is simply magnificent, and t's huge! Over 40,000 acres ofprotected National Park pristine Living Desert. I even got a chance to see a wild Desert Fox! That was pretty cool, lemme tell ya, but he was way too quick for my camera, so I didn't get to snap him. I can't express how deeply I was impressed by this beautiful place...

Coffee with milk in other words....
I'll take more cigarrettes. Guess what? I got into a crazy car crash last night. My honda looks like it went through a meat grinder. Mom is pretty bashed up and I am just now feeling how bashed up I am. OW****.

*Comes out of door marked 'secrit lab'*
I've done it! An improbability thingy! All it needs is a cup of hot tea! *Looks around* And of corse there is no tea in the teacup cafe'... P.S. I hope you realise I didn't build such a device in real life... P.P.S. Ever realise that if you mix up the letters in the word 'Tea' you get 'Eat'?

I didn't mean to, it just happened. It was raining like some one was taking a hundred fire hoses to our car and windy enough to snap the power cables. This granny infront of us decides to slam on the breaks and we did the same, only, the wet and the wind propelled us into her. She slamed her breaks on the highway...stupid granny.

Great pics, Lotesse. I've always thought deserts to be quite beautiful.

well, the funniest part is, I didn't even rear-end the old granny. I rearended this lincoln, which, to my utter surprise contained an old friend of mine, Dan, whom I had not seen in quite some months.
It was an odd way to meet up after that absence. Though, he was unharmed, his 70' Caprice is solid iron, and not even his bumper was damaged, though the granny got swiped by his car and was sent flying by that heavy thing. He got out, unharmed, but shaken and came to open our door, completly concerned because he recoginzed me and my mom, and we were both kinda knocked about. Poor guy.
