Stage Door, Kathrine Hepburn, Ginger Rogers, and Lucille Ball in a bit-part. Very good! I liked it a lot.

The Great Gatsby - depressing, but pretty good.
Les Misérables - even more depressing, but the the ending wasn't as depressing as I thought it would be. The Story of Rosa Parks (made for TV movie) - historical.

Seen a bunch in the past month or so
in theaters: Stardust Excellent SEE THIS. Reminded me of Princess Bride. Sunshine Pretty good. Second best film I've seen in theaters in a while (first being Stardust). If you can find it in theaters - see it. Simpsons Movie good. like an extended good episode of the series. nothing special. but if you are a fan of the show at all, see it Rush Hour 3 TERRIBLE. REALLY BAD. I liked the first two - but this was just BAAAD. Recycled joke after recycled bad jokes. Barely any action as well. Chan getting old. Bourne Ultimatum Good stuff! Really good stuff. See this if you already haven't. On DVD recently seen (that I can recall) - Letters from Iwo Jima - Great flick, Flags of Our Fathers - good but not as good as Letters, Children of Men - really liked it but did not like the abrubt ending.

You don’t need to, but I would highly recommend that you do. They reference characters, events, projects from the previous two movies. You will probably pick up on most of it, but not all of it.
Better experience if you watch the first two. But you will still enjoy it and understand most of it if you haven’t.

Or, even better, read the books - they are so, so, so good. I read them back when I was in high school, and to this day remember stuff from those books. Brilliant writing, there.
I can't wait to see this Bourne Ultimatum, too. I heard it's really good... A friend of mine went to see The Simpsons Movie the other day and was so disgusted with it that he walked out of the movie. He's so mad about it he bristles when you bring it up, like some kind of perturbed cat.

Hm, I never thought I'd be one to say this but: there's a book?

Oh, yes!! There's three, it's a trilogy, the Bourne Trilogy, written by Robert Ludlum. The Bourne Identity was published first, in 1980, then came the Bourne Supremacy and then the Bourne Ultimatum. Seriously, and I am a super-picky literary-fiction-only kind of reader, but I swear Ludlum was a genius writer. Those books are amazing. You can't put them down, at ALL, once you start reading them. I so highly recommend Robert Ludlum's Bourne trilogy. Hell, yeah! The best, baby, the best.

Never read the books, but I hear that the movies are just loosely based on them. Kind of like how the bond movies sometimes barely resembled the books.
Aren't there other Bourne books? Just not written by Ludlum? Are those any good as well?

I just watched Nothing, starring Nobody in Particular. Very good movie. It sorta reminded me of John Cage's music, particularly 4:33
