Sweet. I personally was really happy with the end result of the color with my wedding. My original inspiration was a sample picture that came with Windows 7 - it was a hydrangea. I probably would have picked something a little more manly, like two shades of green, or something more blue than that, but it turned out well.

I hate hospitals with a passion. I always feel tense and I have the feeling I'm being watched. Besides, I've lost friends due to Hospital ****-ups.

Tonight my mom and I are going to go to the local community center to try out a Tai Chi class. I'm sort of excited . I've been wanting to try Tai Chi for years... the idea of it has always really appealed to me.

I loved the forms and patterns when I did martial arts in the past, and the only reason I dropped out was because they made sparring mandatory and I freaking hated it. I beat the crap out of everyone who wasn't a blackbelt. I remember I side-kicked this one girl so hard it lifted her off the ground. I felt horrible... I had assumed she was about to kick my butt because her dad was an incredible martial artist so I sort of figured she would be too. O_o Incorrect assumption. Anyways... I hated doing something specifically for the purpose of trying to hit someone else. Made me feel awful.

So this sounds very appealing. Hopefully it will be a good experience and good exercise... I don't have my hopes set super high and becoming the next Tai Chi Grandmaster.


But hey... maybe I'll learn how to kick your @$$.... THROUGH THE POWER OF RELAXATION!!!!!!!!!

Been a while since I spammed this place up. Figured now is a better time than ever...

I've been thinking on my username, wondering why I picked Ingwe, instead of something much better (and more fitting) like Morgoth. Well, it's almost been three years since I joined, and I didn't think of that till now! *time machine activate* Now I'm Morgo....aww crap, the time machine didn't work!

Anyway, been a while, how's everyone doing, and have I been outcast yet, was I before, or is everything pretty much just the way it was when I was still active around here?

I love tai chi! I took a class a couple semesters ago for my mandatory p.e. credit and I loved it. We learned a certain short sequence, I can't remember if it's like 23 poses or 24 or something like that. I can still do it. It was sort of harder than it looks at first but the more poses we learned the easier it got. I just wish I could learn more but I don't want to teach myself because I don't want to learn it wrong and form bad habits. My teacher at the college was a really strict Chinese lady who'd been doing it since she was a little kid. Strict but a very nice lady.

OMG. You guys. Awesomeness ensued.

We just did some simple breathing/movement warmups, and then he showed us how to... basically... lean from side to side, depending on whether we were leading with our back or with our chest... the whole point was to make sure that through the entire movement, your weight was on one leg rather than both legs, or your hips/back. Then he showed us how to do... corner stepping. Or whatever he called it . Basically the same thing as the leaning side to side, except weaving forwards.

The crazily intense thing about it is that... basically? It was singing, only without the making sound part. The breathing was exactly the same, the 'staying hooked to the ground' sensation was the same, the way you tilt your pelvis was exactly the same, and the sensation of using your entire focus through the movements was exactly the same. It literally felt like I was 'singing' the entire time, just without using my voice.

I loved it to bits. My mom also liked it a lot, so we're going to sign up for it. It's a twice a week thing... it's going to cost more than we originally thought, but she was okay with that. I think she really liked that it was so quiet and gentle, but also good exercise.
