I heard a single movement from Lenny's second symphony. I accidentally found it.

Just think, if this was music you wanted to buy...and it is by Bax, So I may one day..., can you imagine how embarassing it is to purchase this?

LOL!
You haven't seen the cover to my long lost copy of the Carmina Burana yet. I think I still have the case.

EDIT: LOL! Track 6: "In a Vodka Shop" Reminds me of a certain personality test...

I have so many composers-to-get on my list, it's not even funny. Delibes has been on there, because I love the story of Lakme, and his ballets are supposed to be really good too.

Yeah, I know Carmina Burana has had some pretty racy covers...
Did you ever try putting "Vodka" for all the answers?

I think I've been Stravinsky and Prokofiev for so long...I never seem to be able to get anyone else!

Well, if you need actual evidence to the contrary, try Prokofiev's 1st and 3rd Piano Concertos. And then try the Stravinsky Violin Concerto (a big step away from the Violin Concertos written before him).

Troublemakers usually only stick to the easy stuff

Anyways: I am now convinced. After a frustrating relationship with Mahler's Seventh, I have now come to realize it for what it is: a masterpiece.
Not sure whether it was because of the Bernstein performance, but that symphony definitely makes you think of the Sixties...

Bruckner's Ninth! Genius stuff, and I can't stop listening to the second movement.

It's like Esa-Pekka Salonen's comment on the Berlin Philharmonic and its chorus:
"I always thought that you could just conduct a chorus like an orchestra, and it would do what it was supposed to. Then I conducted a regular chorus..."

Err...no.

Althought there was this one great symphony I heard on the radio. I don't know what it was, but he wrote it. I had the Opus number here somewhere...

Hmmm...out of the four that are designated symphonies, how hard could it be to remember the name of it? The Symphonie Funebre et Triomphale maybe? That's a great piece.

Buxtehude Organ Music that Mercutio needs to know:

Toccata in F/buxWV157
Ciacona in E/buxWV150
Ick dank dir, lieben Herr/buxWV194
Fugue in C/buxWV147
