Reading while tired is fun.

I read the following
Quote:
i used to dream about been cast in a whilpool by my father and dieing i had that on and off till i was 14
as "being cast in a pool of whipped cream and dying"

and that was just funny to me

hmmmmmmm you shouldnt try not to think so much. If i think i cannot sleep. When i was young i could never get to sleep because i though Darth Vader was gonna come get me. But i just took a sword to bed so if he did come i could kick his ass.

After I saw the movie Hocus Pocus , I had the same repetitive nightmares about witches chasing me until they caught me. When they did, thankfully I woke up.

I've got a question. If you have a nightmare, do you try to subconciously wake yourself up? Like you know it's a nightmare and you might slap yourself to make you wake up in your nightmare? Silly question for some people, but I know I've done it.

nightmares are odd. i seem to have them when im kinda awake. i dont seem to dream in deep sleep. I think it depends how far gone you are. If you are totally engrosed in a dream its hard to come out but if your semi consious you can easily get out

That's interesting to know. I hate nightmares, but I don't have many nowadays.

I dream mostly of things I think less of during the day. Thats why I have never had a dream about lotr. I had a nightmare once when I was at home alone during the day. In the dream I tried to wake myself up but every time I thought I woke myself up I was at another place. Then this ghost came and pushed me down into the couch pillows. After awhile(sp) I woke up.

Just a warning, there is a thread on dreams, and in a moderator's eyes you might be treading dangerously away from Fear and into Dreams.

Yes you are quite right. Thanks for the warning.

Did anyone ever notice the different types of phobias. I read in the kids post about different phobias humans have. There were wierd ones like (phobia meaning fear in greek) Peladophobia(bald people fear) or Geliophobia (laughter) or the wierdest to me arachibutyrophobia (getting peanut butter stuck on the roof of your mouth.) I have a small phobia of being in the woods at night.

Neh, neh, neh.

My sister fears me, or rather, she fears my elbow.
