A council is part of the government that runs it's own bit of the country eg. hampshire county council. Dole money is money given by them to people who are poor, and can't afford to do stuff eg. me. Finally, January is the first month of the new year. Clearer now.

The SAT tests are wastes of paper. And quite a few colleges no longer take them so seriously as determinants. The personal essay is what'll really get you accepted or rejected.

Speaking of which... I need to write a few of those... trying to transfer to UW, again. Need to get a move on if I'm to wade through all the red tape before the deadline starts looming.
