Well, I've heard it said that some prayers are answered 'yes', some 'no' and some 'not now'.
This one was a 'yes'! I got a call today making an unofficial offer. They want me to start at the beginning of January! YAY!!!

So... I don't recall if I posted this, but I have a condition called Chiari Malformation. On Sept 10th, I'm having surgery to get it fixed. The surgery is going to be on the back of the skull, and involving the brain.
I'm quite ready to have it done, and so I am not really that worried/freaked out about the surgery. But the doctors could use all the help they could get, and my family IS a little worried for me. Keep me in mind, if you don't mind.

Oh, I'm so glad to hear that!!!
Now don't you rush recovery - you obey those doctor's instructions!!!!! *stern mom look* You don't want any complications *tucks Midge in and gives her some tea* Speaking of complications - unbelievably, yet another medical issue - 6 surgeries and 5 car accidents in the 6 years we've been in Arizona just wasn't enough, I guess My daughter got some stress fractures in her foot, right when she was really getting into track, which she started because she had to give up all shoulder sports because of her shoulder surgery. OK, a setback, but 6-8 weeks and she's out of the boot and working her way back up. But NO - she's developed a rare and potentially very serious pain syndrome. The good news is that we caught it VERY early, due to our alertness and a very good and informed doctor, so it SHOULD be ok, but ... Well, please pray for her to get totally better. We've had enough grief here
