My prayers go out to you. I just found out today that my cat is the size of a small hobbit, about a meter in height. So he's almost as tall as Bilbo! I only wish he could speak. I'm convinced that he understands words, but he can't speak nonetheless. If cats lived a lot longer than they usually do, I imagine they would eventually be able to say certain small words. |

Today in the newspaper they were trying to rationalize the whole thing. Like going into your school planning to kill people and yourself can be rationalized...

[VENT] Today I waited at a busstop while it was freezing cold outside for a bus that never showed up, carrying roses that can't handle freezing cold very well and in the end I had to wait 45 minutes for a bus to appear. Then that bus too was late, so I had to run to catch the last train, while I still can't use my right foot very well. Then that train ran late, so I had to run to catch the next train too! Long live public transport! NOT! [/VENT]

That's what the newspapers say these days, for every victim there's a group of people out there saying "well they were in the wrong place at the wrong time." Not only is that obvious, as anyone who is exposed to violence is in the wrong place at the wrong time, but it's terrible to say and shows how insensitive people are, kinda like the newspapers saying how that kind of thing can be rationalized. If they can rationalize that, then well, there would be no such thing as the word "irrational" anymore.
Sorry haven't gotten to reply to here lately, been having internet disconnections. My site's suffering terribly because of it and it's just been driving me up the wall. My ISP may be able to refund me for the times I lost access to the net, but they can't refund the reputation some people will think I have now because my server didn't work at times (and they won't blame the ISP, they'll blame me for down time). Well hopefully it doesn't work out too bad. I lost internet for 10 hours for 3 nights in a row, but since it was during the off-hours it could be salvaged. I'd put those 10 sites up on another server, but running my own has been fun for the last two years, and for that many sites it would cost a truck load. I'd rather fight 50 orcs and 3 Mumakil. LoL Got to hear about my dad's brain tumor - it's not deadly or anything, but somehow the doctor thinks that a 3 centimeter-wide brain tumor doesn't cause dizziness. It's been my experience that if anyone has something in their head any bigger than 1 millimeter in size that it doesn't matter where it is, it's going to cause problems. So now we're going to have to wait for him to get an MRI in 3 months to see if it grows or not. If he gets dizzier over time and it does in fact grow, then we will know what the problem was all along. I personally am trying to convince my father to get a second opinion on this, but of course it may mean surgery, he doesn't want that. I understand him in a way, because the risk for something like that is a bit more than simple surgery, no matter where the obstruction is. Amy, my fiance, has been sick lately. I never experienced that myself before, but the flu is definitely something that someone would want to stay away from. She's too stubborn to go to the doctor about it, but fortunately, she seems to be getting better after a week of it, so that's awesome. The bad part is that she got a flu shot the same day she got the flu, so it was pretty much ineffective for the most part, except maybe against other strains of it. Now I'm hearing about this staph infection strain that's running rampant. It's pretty bad. It's resistant to most antibiotics so suffice to say it's a heck of a struggle to anyone who gets it. Besides plagues, wars, famine, more war, destruction of the environment, and just a general overwhelming amount of suffering in the world, if it weren't for those things I'd say we'd have it made. The less I watch the news, the better, already enough things out there that can ruin life for the most part. That's my rant of the day. |

If I could do such precision banning, I would surely have used it already to wreak havoc on April Fools Day.

Things I'm mad about:
My dad should get his retirement, but the stupid army gits virtually rule the country now and they've posted him off to a lonely corner of the country, for the last two years, where he feels like he's rotting away. My friends go out between every class to eat out somewhere pricey, which I can't afford, so I keep having to make silly excuses not to go, like, I'm sleepy today, or I have to study today (then they come to the library with me, and I HAVE to actually study) and I hate lying, but it would be so uncomfy to tell the truth! I just heard about how one of my distant uncle, and his whole family (except one son) died in a car crash during the hurricane, and of course, half of the country has a tragic story of that kind, so I'm just kind of depressed about it... And my stooopid Bio teacher suspects me of being the one who went and complained of her to the chairman behind her back, even though I'm such a quiet, studious little thing, and besides I DID NOT DO IT! And now everytime I see her, I get angry, which, of course, confirms her suspicions even more, and I'm afraid my grades might suffer because of it. And then I might lose my scholarship, which would kill me. And of course, this is the time I got my midterms and my final terms (go figure - they're happening in the same two weeks! you'd think midterms would actually be in the middle of the term rather than the end... ) and my IELTS, and my university applications all in one fortnight. It's winter again, so now I have asthma all the time, so I'm always on medication, and everything feels ten times worse than it is. Whew! My biggest rant since I got here. But also one of the toughest times of my life... I'm glad I have a place to let it out other than my diary, who I think is getting bored of it all!

One of my proffessors wanted us to have class on thanksgiving and the day after. He wanted us to come in for class that day, but he wouldnt have to, because it's a lab and only our lab teacher would have to come in ( and he didnt want to either). He finally got shot down after buggging the head guy there for a while, so we dont have to.
