The problem was that Earniel's image didn't upload into the Cafe Press site. Some tinkering needs to be done to the image - is anyone good with graphics?

The problem with the first design was that it had transparent elements in it. Cafe Press say they don't support transparent files, which isn't really true. There's a way to get around this - when logged in at Cafe Press, just click "Your Account" and then "Go To My Image Basket". I was able to upload transparent files there and use them as designs.

Or you could do it the easy way and just use this non-transparent version of the design -
Link to design
Hope it works now Ben!

The T-shirt should look something like this:

The problem with the picture was two-sided. One, I at first scanned at a wrong, too low, configuration. While the test-print on paper looked adequate, one on fabric would be less so.

Two, the website link needed to added and the background removed from the scanned image. It's here where I'm currently stuck, as my one good graphical programme very inconsiderately died on me while attempting to do so and surprise, surprise, the installation disk is also corrupted. Which left me with some difficulty to track down a decent freeware and learn how to use it.

Making a drawing is one thing, but I fear I was quite unprepared at what other things would needed to be done also.

I've had my 30 day trial of Photoshop for years. It still works great and I like it

I love those trials, don't you?

The shirt looks really cool! And not satanic at all!

Hmm...it would help if Treebeard's nose stuck out a little more. He does look a little demonic right now...

Well when I went to the site-several months ago-the only one showing was the T from the parent site "Tolkein Trail" which had a wizard smoking his pipe. I thought it most appropriate and purchased it; wore it on vacation and got a few comments. It's very well made.

He doesn't look demonic! An ent shouldn't have a big nose sticking out from the bark, he'd look ridiculous imo.

Is he smoking a pipe on the T-shirt? He isn't in the designs I've seen

My sister downloaded a trial version of photoshop a few years ago for me. It messed up our settings so much we ended up deleting it before ever using it. So I tend to be a bit wary of trail versions, whether that's justified or not.

We're working on it. (Man, have I been slow with it. )

My personal hope is that it will be available in the next few months, right in time for Christmas. (Then again, I had similar hopes for Easter...) But right now, unless some new problem with the file quality pops up, it's up to Bmilder.

Cool. I wasn't sure, 'cause the thread's been dead, so I thought the project was.

I haven't been in this thread forever! Was it ever decided what the design would be?

Whats the design? I'd love to add an Entmoot one to my collection as I've been collecting Tolkien board t-shirts, and have a Barrow Downs one, A Minas Tirith one, and a Tolkienonline one (of which I had Banned for life - January 23, 2003 silk-screened across the back ).
