Male cephalopods ( of most species) have a modified arm (called a hectocotylus) which is used in mating, and they usually grow a new one every year. They are slghtly different in their morphology and I had the pleasure of being able to get a close look before taking him, and asscertained that it was, in fact, a male to all appearances.

Helped my adopted mom paint my adopted sis's room and clean. It was fun. Three people in a small room all with some form of paintbrush trying not to drip on one another.

Then we made chicken soup....

So, my hair hasn't been cut in about two months now. I tried growing it out a while back, for maybe three months, and decided I hated the result, even when it was kept trimmed, so I went back to really short cuts. I just think it looks cute and -clean- like that.

But now I have to not get it cut till after the Magic Flute, because our director wants 'authentic' hair styles. So that's going to be five months without a hair cut, unless she approves it, and then she'll probably either be doing it or have one of her assistants doing it to be sure.

So I have this top ten list of reasons I wish I could use for why my hair is suddenly shorter.

1. We weren't supposed to cut it!?
2. I needed an obscure medical test that required my head to be shaved.
3. It all fell out. Overnight. Into a fashionably short cut.
4. I fell under a pair of scissors. Multiple times.
5. My mom made me do it.
6. My mom did it while I was asleep.
7. My mom drugged me and then did it.
8. This is not the chorus member you're looking for *hand wave*
9. God spoke to me last night. He said, "Anthony... you look RIDICULOUS. Go shaveth thyself up a bit."
10. BECAUSE I CAN'T TAKE IT ANY MORE.

I seriously hate my hair. The length as hair-length doesn't bother me. I just dislike long hair on men in general, and in particular I don't feel that my face is suited to it. Don't get me wrong: I've got great, thick hair with plenty of body. If I were a girl I would probably grow it out because I think that's gorgeous. But I hate it on me as a boy. Which is what I am. Dur.

*sips tea*
