I wanted so much to constribute a Tolkien-inspired, SuperBowl-relevent Riddle, but this is the best I could come up with. In addition to identifying the "speaker" - please identify the "friends" and mention why this relates to the SuperBowl.
I wear different skins, But I'll give you a sack, You may borrow my friends, But you'd best send them back!

Sure I know Beorn... but you didn't give everything I was asking for. Please re-read the entire question.
And now - for one that was on the previous page: Quote:

Oh, his friends are the horses he lent to Bilbo and the dwarves
Edit: Oops, forgot to figure out what this has to do with the superbowl... I'll work on that.

I love riddles, although I rarely have the patience to try to solve them for long... Anyways I´ll try to make up something by myself here. How about...
Cold death of the past Long it did last From within the stone it came but finally fell under the flame Wielder burnt by fires of hatred now lies in a place that is sacred. It´s a pity really, I think that these riddles in this thread are either too easy or too hard. For the hard ones I just should read more, but for the easy ones, I know you guys can do better. I´m not saying mine would be good either (it´s possibly too easy) but you could make a bit more difficult ones. Come to think of it, does anyone of you have archery as a hobby? I do, and it´s great. I have a 30 lbs. longbow (about 13.5 kilos) and shoot pretty well from 15 metres and decently from 18 metres. Honestly.

I would love to do archery more, but horses take up 60% of my time, and school the other 40%. I am really good at it when I get to do it, and after I lesson I was hitting the bullseye every time from thirty feet. I was nine then, and I had more time. I didn't do it much though, because I didn't really have pasion for it. Now that I have no time for it I really want to do it. I do it at the Renniassance Festival every year and freak the guys out becuase I am really good at it, and one of them doesn't believe me that I don't practice. You should see me at other sports though, it is the msot pathetic thing ever witnessed. I just have a knack for that. I wish I had more time for it, and I would love to do it from horseback. Oh well, I guess I picked my hobby.

I have a spiral that I call my "dragon spiral", and it has a whole section in the back where I put riddles. I have it about a third full. http://tolkientrail.com/ website has a page for riddles that might go with the ones here. They also have all hte ones from the book on there.

Another riddle to cause you sleepless nights...
I lie in the earth I rest within the sea I soar in the night sky You can´t catch me but someone did try and succeeded and store me in treasures two shall lay hidden till the worlds end while one may be seen by all.

No, not Narsil or the Ring or Orcrist. Good guesses though.
