Re: hint

Finally something doable! Congradulations, Fin! But how come the hint is coming from Tar Melian?

hint

My hint WAS from me! I gave it apparently the same moment Fin gave the answer! When I went back to check my post, I never saw Fin's answer...weird! (That happened with me and Balthmos earlier.)

the game has stalled!

Fin, I have been looking for your quote for days, I thought it would be an easier one to find...wrong! Please tell us the answer, and let's move on...if there is anybody out there interested in still playing?

Re: the game has stalled!

Ok.
Presently, groping and fumbling in the dark, they found that the opening on the left was blocked: either it was a blind, or else some great stone had fallen in the passage.

Here's a new one:
Sam sat down heavily with a red face.

Clues right off: The Two Towers volume two.

I have it

when Faramir is talking to Frodo and Sam interrupts.

next sentance: "Faramir turned to Frodo again."

(btw I'm sorry about my impossible quote everybody I haven't got any idea why I gave it to you! and I could have sworn I gave you what book it was from )

my quote:

" 'As you go down to the water,' he said, 'you will find that the trees will fail, and you will come to a barren country.' "

I'm not sure if I should give any hints... It's not very difficult compared to some I've seen you people do! But I'll be online in case you do

Re: I have it

There the River flows in stony vales amid high moors, until at last after many leagues it comes to the tall island of the Tindrock, that we call Tol Brandir.

Re: I have it

Here's a clue (providing that somebody is still reading this):
It's from the Fellowship, first book.

Sorry, don't have it.

I was sure it was in the Fellowship of the Rings when I first heard it, and I did look. I'll have to double check, I was about to start school when I last look, so my time was rather limited. At least this one wasn't impossible! Good work!

Although that wasn't completely necessary.

"Everything," they answered.

Here's the next one: "We make good armour and keen swords, but we cannot again make mail or blade to match those that were made before the dragon came. Only in mining and building have we surpassed the old days."

You should see the waterways of Dale, Frodo, and the mountains, and the pools!

Re: Sorry, don't have it.

Talking about Saruman, maybe? Oh well, I'll look for it later.

Where's Tar Melian, by the way?
