Empress Flynn! Empress Flynn!

I'm a pie-maker just like Ned!

This is a straw-blackberry pie. After it's cooked. Apparently I could have left it in a bit longer. But I'm practicing.

And GW, I scared the dark-cape-and-scythe guy off myself! Kind of. I just hope I haven't got a screwed-up-for-life back.

Anyway...

Edit: I just realized my weaving is off. It was still a pretty good pie.

I have to get the fairies to bring me last night's episode because I was (am) in England...

And now I am waiting for them to deliver my luggage to me because, apparently, the airline was lacking in the brain cells when they told me "Oh yes, we'll make sure your baggage gets to your connecting flight, you don't have to do anything."

That or they were outright lying just for kicks.

And then I probably won't be around much for the next few weeks... big health emergency with my fiance's dad (part of the reason I came back early), so we're going to stay with his mum for a few weeks at least while his dad is in the hospital...

Just letting you know I'm alive... try and keep the Teacup going without me

On other news: reddish was impossible with my colour blonde, so now I have streaks of brown in my hair. It isn't very noticeable of course, but it gives a nice effect.

Ah well. Today it was another day of boring education and interesting card games.

We're really into it. Does anyone know what is this game called in English?

Here's the rules:Five cards for everyone. The cards are laid upside down. So you can lie. Then, the quickest one with three(s)

starts. You can put 1-4 cards at the same time, for example 3 fours. The cards have to be higher than the previous, for ex. three, 3 eights, and four queens.

If you lie and it is detected, you pick up all the cards in the pile. If you don't lie but someone checks, then they pick up.

As for twos, the only card that can be put on them are twos.

Made a long walk with my mum and the dog in the woods today. It's so beautiful with all the fall colours and a nice sun still shining!

It made me a bit hungry. Can I have a piece of that delicious looking pie up there, Midge? *puppy eyes*
