Yay! I'm not imagining it! It was just so silly, it cracked me up - a whole running skit merely about some guy not being able to get on his horse

I'll have to check Best Buy - it was several hundred dollars at Borders

I think that's a good idea! Like a link that goes to (pageurl)#top, so when you click it goes right back to the top. Very good idea!

Sounds like I'll have to read that Twilight series. I've read R.L. Stine's about vampire sisters, don't remember the original English names though, but they were good books. The other sister likes being a vampire, while the other tries to find a cure. She has to hurry though, because there are already vampire hunters in their town... While they are not amongst the most gory books, they contain what those faint-of-heart might call "sick". Perhaps I should say: not recommended for under 15 year olds!

R.L. Stine? I used to read that a lot when I was 10 or so. Some were pretty scary! I remember not being allowed to check them out without the permission of my mother.

Eärn, if your scientist should find a cure, would you care to share? I'm steadily running out of tissues...

Ingwe, you're not supposed to fall! Come over for some ice skating some time, I'll teach you how to do it properly without falling. I have experience there and none of my 'students' fell. *is bragging somewhat*
We have a 5 km long outside skating rink in the middle of the fields, not too far from where I live. I haven't been able to find someone to get me there (I can't reach it by public transport) but someday I will go there. Even if I have to use force. Mwuhahaha!

Most definitely.

Here, use a hankie. Mum just washed a whole basket full of them. I reckon they'll last us a day or three.

Still not sure whether I prefer being sick now in the weekend, as opposed to when I have to work. I dislike colds. Fne.

You are now
But if it's any consolation: you're not the only one. (sick I mean, not bored)

New Movie...Hans Brinker and the Silver Cold Cure.

It's about a competitive former ice-skater named Hans Brinker, who is now a pharmacological researcher. He is astounded to find that his researches have uncovered an actual cure for the common cold.

But there's a problem. The forces of world corporate capitalism know that curing the common cold would completely destroy our current economy (not in great shape this week anyway ). Pharmaceuticals, paper manufacturing, even tourism would be disrupted, because people wouldn't need "sick" days as much and would travel differently. So they have to stop him. (It's a little like "the Man In The White Suit" but that's a great movie anyway. )

Hans and his friend (a fabulous International banker played by Penelope Cruz) go on the run, trying to get to either his skating mentor (now a prominent politician at The Hague) or her ex-lover (a multi-millionaire media mogul) so that the story of the cold cure can be revealed. On the way they acquire an experimental car and fall in love, while narrowly dodging the attacks of the pharm guys. Will they succeed? Will they fall in love? Will they be betrayed again by their hope of help? Will there be an exciting chase with Hans speed skating and snow mobilers chasing him? (Well, you can count on that last one.) Will there be a reason to see Penelope Cruz in a bathing suit? (again, we have to sell this puppy, what do you think? )

*disappears to get working on the screen-play*

Good morning!

Maybe Chow Yun Fat for the boyfriend...

Yes, this is a fabulous movie. Im thinking about watching Holy Grail next. Sick days always call for Monty Python and a cup of Ramen.

It is the worst. And its just one ear too, and it hurts and everything else. Its extremely uncomfortable.

the weather is absolutely lovely today. chilly too, fall is on the horizon.

I seem to have an infestation of ladybugs in my home

This minute I've found at least ten crawling around at my window.
