Hi, I'm actually not a new member, I was here a few weeks after tooktalk died some years ago :-( , I haven't been posting but I checked the forums regulary so I'm not intirely uninformed.

"Took Talk" was back in the before time. When dragons roamed the earth and some of us were fighting evil. It evolved into "Entmoot" and those of us that survived, are here in one form or another.

I've no recollection of participating memebers there either, sorry. It was over five years ago.

Well in the archives is a post from 2004: I asked Radagast the Brown once, who I think was running the place, and he said something about...whatwasitnow...well, I can't quite remember really...think it was: 'not enough money to maintain it and too little activity to be worthy of keeping it going', or similar

However, I had it bookmarked until recently and it was much older. So you can dance the victory dance if it wasn't that old but it isn't here anymore.

it was because, no time, no money, etc.
but it was old, but i only found out about it 5 years ago.

Actually, it was Emplynx who ran the place... I was just a moderator. And as said.. Emplynx went to College, IIRC, and coudlnt' keep paying for the site.. I'm not sure now, I knew back then. Anyway, hobinator said he'd do it - meaning, taking the forums data and reviving it in his site - but apparently it didn't work out...so it's gone. And I actually do remember you.

strange, I was in the top 20 posters I think, I checked the site that hobinator was going to make to replace tooktalk, but he never made it work as I can remember, I started a new site just like tooktalk (only invisionfree and an other name) but there were not much tooktalk members that followed us

, so now that site is abandonned. what happened to the top post girl, can't remember her name now

, is she here to?

I remember Tooktalk, was a member. Though I didn't post much, and kept myself mostly to Tolkien-related stuff.

Yea, at the end there was almost no one that keps himself active in tolkien related stuff, that's prolly one of the reasons why Emplynx closed the place.
