"Fredrico comes running whenever he hears this thing." and with that Sas jumped on Fredrico's back and they took off into the air.

The farmers however, were in no mood for chatting. That didn't stop the irrespressible Mari.
"What are you people doing on my land?" asked one of the farmers, angrily. Hector was furiously coming up with smart-aleck quips.

Meanwhile Fredrico was scouting the skies with Sas on his back when they saw the farmer coming up to the party. "go a little lower." Sas whispered to Fredrico, and they floated down a little lower when they heard the farmer speak- "What are you people doing on my land?"

"Well" said Mari as she was dancing something which she hoped resembled a squaredance "isn't this much better then shooting at people? I assume that we can get your permission to continue to travel on this road then?"
She didn't wait for the farmer next to her to give a proper answer before exclaiming: "Great! It's settled then! And next time try to be a bit friendlier to passerbys. This is after all a public road. Thank you!" Quickly Mari switched dancingpartners so the farmer wouldn't have time to respond.

That's what it's all about! *Katt jumped into the band and started singing and shouting out instructions to the farmers and other dancers. Soon the dance was done.* Farmer: Well, if it ain't Raven? How you doin' girl? Katt: *greets farmer* I'm great. A little buzzed too. Sas: Raven? Who is Raven? *Katt gave the company a frantic glance before turning back to the farmer.* Katt: Sorry bout that, they know me by a different name. Farmer: Oh, right. So, what you doin' in these parts? Katt: Ah, you know, just chillin with this crowd. On a quest and whatnot. Heard we were coming by here, so I brought a little to trade. *Katt pulled a bulky manila envelope out of her trenchcoat. The farmer took it and looked inside.* Farmer: Oh yea, that'll do nicely. As for payment-- Katt: Three bottles. Farmer: *Frowns* One. Katt: Two? Farmer: *Frowns more* Katt: Aw, all right, I know you gotta make a livin. How bout in addition to the one bottle, you let this crew pass through your land and back. Farmer: Oh all right. Katt: And these guys are pretty well stocked. You may wanna see if you wanna trade with them. Farmer: *Nods* Kay. Here you go. *Hands Katt a dark glass bottle.* Katt: See you round. *Katt wandered back over to the clump of Teacupians.* Katt: Hey yall. Sup? These guys brew some great 'shine. Better lay your hands on it while you can. |

Mari turned around and searched Aeran, Bunicula and Hector in the group of people still on the field. "Sas, I've got to go find my buddies, will you ask the others to get ready for the continuation of our journey please?" With that Mari went to collect her buddies and to get back on the road.

Aeran found Mari quickly enough and Bunicula was with him. They had stayed far away from those humans with their silly dancing. Together they found Hector and it looked like he was trying to make a deal with the farmers? "Umm, Hector? I hate to interrupt and if you want to trade, that's your business, but I will not have you drunk during this quest. It's time to get moving again, are you almost ready to get moving again?"
Mari didn't seriously think Hector would want to have some of the "stuff" of the farmers and that he would get drunk, but better make the rules clear now... After all, you never know.
