I'm glad to hear that.

I have a 5MP camera as well (HP PhotoSmart R707), and I really like it.. It cost about 250$ when I bought it, otherwise it's around 400$, I think.

(heh, indeed.. a smile now and then is always good.)

You have some really nice pics there! It would be easier to watch them in full size if they weren't that big, though.. If they'd fit in the screen. Just a tip.

So, here are some more..

This was taken in an amusement park in July this year..

A beach somewhere in Finland.. Edited in PhotoShop

The place where I was working this summer.. Just before my morning swim at 5am.

I've never really used photobucket, so I don't know.. But what I do is to just resize the pic in Paint and save it as a different copy.

Ah, yes I do that to on occasion. And will do from now on when posting my work in this thread.

or use the save for web option in photoshop...

anyway, best to resize then save for web.
make sure they are 72dpi rather than 300 /314 etc as well, if it is for screen (as Hanny says make sure you save another copy rather than downsize the original!!)

Liked the beach one!

best, BB x

Those are some of the best pictures I've ever seen, Nerdanel! On par with my grandpa's "Scenic Vistas" and "Misc. Senics/Flora and Fauna" album. And I love the bee, GW.

Do you know what my dream camera is? One of those big digital Nikon SLRs with 15 megapixels (you have to have at least 13 megapixels to match up to the quality of 35mm film). But alas, I don't have four thousand dollars handy right now.

Oh, you don't have that either? It sounds like a great dream, though..

Those are tremendous pictures, Nerdanel. You have a real eye for a good photo. The one of the girls sitting on the jetty is wonderful.

Don't worry about flooding the thread on my account!

i'm very glad to hear you think so.

you shouldn't have said that..

this is one of the researchers i worked for this summer. the cat is hers and is very silly, but also very beautiful. *nod*

i decided to play around a bit.. this is the book worm we had at the station, polly the python. they (there was another one as well, monty) belong to another one of the researchers i worked for.. beautiful animals.

not much to say about this one.

i guess that's enough for this time..

*claps hands* Oh, beautiful! I love the first, with the cat (but I am partial to cats, especially ones that resemble my own ). Nice lighting on all, lovely composition. Nicely done.

Wow. Nerdanel, you're a photographer with talent! I especially like the scenery pictures. The insect close-ups are cool too! And your workmate's cat is really cute
