Why is everyone mad at Bush? I think he is a mature, responsible human being (which is more than we can say about our last president, btw)

Having been a loyal member of Local 300 of the Brewery Worker's Union in Vancouver, you're right- the major products from any corporate brewery are gonna be lowest-common-denominator crap.

I don't drink beer - so I really don't care who makes the best beer. But my father hated the warm beer of England. He liked the beer in Germany though. Also- what does it matter who makes the best beer. The grocery store I go to (well the liquor store attached to it) carries beer from all over the world (and not just name brand international beer either).
Also speaking of beer - what about the pubs in Oregon and Washington. Also -NJ has many pubs that make their own beer. Not all beer in the US is budweiser - it's just the stuff that is mass produced.

I love Canada (my email is at canada.com!) and this is in no way meant to insult:
Given its location and history, Canada could have had American government, English culture, and French food. Rather, it ended up with French government, English food, and American culture. Tut mir leid, Mercutio

Rick Mercer's "apology" is so hilarious! BUAHAHAHAHA! It's been around for a while.
Hey, I knew about the Electoral College. I don't know anything about it, but I heard about it. But come on. Do you know how our government is elected? Cheers!

0 Responsible? Maybe a little bit. Maybe. But I'm not sure that he ever even thinks about using reason or learning from the past. A person who refuses to do either of those isn't very responsible. Sorry about that. |

our history is full of leaders that were less than responsible in a personal sense (some of them great presidents)... the question i ask is "we're they good for the country?"... the jury is still out on gwb... and clinton didn't do that bad, all things considered

Bush is an unmitigated a-hole. This comes from a lifelong registered republican, BTW. I absolutely LOATHE the Bush family and all that they stand for. And I miss good old Clinton; even though I didn't vote for him I wanted to at the time his first election came up in '92. But Bush - Sr OR Jr, is just WRONG. Sick and wrong. He and his administration does NOT have ME fooled. Bah.
Cool thread, BTW!

Finrod, I'm sorry, I love you as a person, but I really don't like the letter. It's amusing and clever, so I can see why you like it. It also is designed just to bash our president, and doing that is the sole purpose of many of the posts in this thread (though I know you didn't send them!). I think this thread should definitely be closed. Sorry again .

Aw, I like the letter. I think it's funny. The bit about calling Bush a moron isn't the best, but the rest is pretty funny.
I don't agree with George Bush's politics, but he is not a moron. Having one of our politicians slinging mud like that was pretty embarassing actually. I mean, usually we do this in the privacy of our own Parliment! Kidding! See, we Canadians can poke fun at ourselves too. It's all in good fun. Thanks for pointing out that it was actually Colin Mockery who said that Gollum9630.
