Identity was excellent!

I saw a good scary movie the other night -- The Spiral Staircase. It was a black and white made in 1946 (the '75 remake is supposed to be awful) with Ethel Barrymore.

THE Count of Monte Cristo--

VERY good, YES it deviates from the book. Bare in mind movies are movies - quite obviously - not the books.

I liked Edmunds sidekick--although he may be the missing link-- very funny, Luigi was also funny. Richard Harris plays a part, and does an excellent job at the role of genius.

HIGHLY recommend this one!

Excellante, magnifique!

I loved it. It had a grainy texture to filming and editting, the story line was oddly original. Patric was marvelous, and Liotta was his same angry and frightening self.

One of my favorite new movies.

I rented The Legend of Rita last week, a German film directed by Volker Schlöndorff, originally released in 2000 and based on the Bader-Meinhoff/RAF era...

German title: Die Stille nach dem Schuß

I just saw Pi a few days ago. It's directed by Darren Aronofsky, the same guy who did Requiem for a Dream (a favorite of many movie-lovers, including me).

It's kind of a tragic story, relatively short (less than an hour and a half) but its good once you get used to the black and white picture. An small grasp of abstract mathematics couldn't hurt, either (Fibonacci sequence, Golden Ratio, stuff like that), but it doesn't really matter if you don't get the math.

I seen the hulk when it came out, & for the Halloween sprit, I watched House of a thousand Corpses. I also seen the Matrix reloaded & From Hell again.

I seen the hulk in the theatre, It not the greatest movie, but I like marvel films.

Now I am off to watch Signs.

hahahahaha i watched another PJ 'classic' again last night... Meet the Feebles, it was very funny. its basically a take off of the muppets but its behind the scenes and there a bunny thats addicted to sex and a viet vet that is addicted to every drug there is and a homosexual fox (the director) and a rat that makes all these pornos and deals drugs and theres the hedgehog called Wobert whos really nice... lots of muppet blood and sex and drugs and humor. PJ hadnt finished filming by the cut off date so he handed in the unfinished version and then broke into the studio at nights to finish.
OHHH GOSH ONLY 4 MORE SLEEPS UNTIL REVOLUTIONS

Lost In Translation

I hated it because:
1. It just used Tokyo as an interesting backdrop because there was basically no story, and what little there was, was so contrived it made me throw up.
2. I hate Bill Murray because he never "acts". He just stands there, says nothing, and people laugh at him. His character never changes, and it makes me think that the movies he is in are molded around him and not the other way around. And since I don't like him, this movie was awful.
3. Making fun of Japanese culture, especially things that aren't necessarily true.
4. The blatantly untrue he and and the lead girl "Charlotte" said in the "meaningful" scenes. To me, they seemed to be the opposite of what is actually true. Quote: "The more you become yourself, the less you are bothered by things." What the hell? The more you become yourself, the more you know what things in society bother you and what things don't.
5. You had to see Murray shirtless. The director loved Charlotte's a--, she was always in her see-through underwhere- it was during the opening credits.
6. The first scene is Bill Murray sleeping in the taxi- in Tokyo! I'd kill to go to Tokyo, and there is this guy sleeping? This is an opinion-based criticism.

EDIT: As an afterthought, it was almost as bad as Rupin the Third, but Tampopo was better than it.

every main carachter dies.

Finally got around to 28 days Later...

hmmm, well, It had it's moments, but I found that parts (no pun intended) didn't keep my disbelief suspended.
