I agree totally! We need thieves, or some other types of bandits, or 'banditos' as George W. Bush would say, just so he can sound what he calls 'multi-macultural'. Sorry I had to bring politics into things again, I'm highly-political.

Nothing can beat the spider incident early in the story though! I just read through that stuff from back in early 2008, I can't believe it's been that long since the spider incident! Not that it's a particularly long amount of time but I had expected it to seem somehow longer!

Also, if A'mael starts talking more often, everyone will find her to be somewhat eccentric, perhaps a little bit annoying. She still has yet to get to know everyone, just as I really do have to still get to know everyone here.

Maybe I would be able to get to know everyone by helping to fight off thieves. Plus I have some more surprises.

But Amael, your character has been travelling with this company already for months. It wouldn't exactly make sense if you don't know anyone by now. Even if you have not have had much chance to write much interaction, one can assume you did talk (off screen) with the others at some point during all those weeks.

) or (since they're not too far away from camp), also a perfect opportunity to introduce thieves if the time is right.

Very well, it'll be someone of the company then. I've been thinking about the thieves, and I think I'll wait with them just a little longer to... add something a bit more special to the fight.

Yes, but she is shy and only talks to the Elves in the group ... particularly ones who would relate to her the most ... ones who share Teleri and Noldor blood. There aren't many of those. The ones she would get along with most as far as I know are Ingwionis since duh she knows him from prior experience, lol, and Radagast because, well, he's a wizard and gets along with everyone ... except for demons, trolls, dragons, dark lords, orcs, uruk-hai, and so on. A'mael does get along with Dwarves though. She never quite got along with Thranduil after what he did by imprisoning the Dwarves, and she has an existing friendship with Legolas mainly because he was able to break the cultural walls between Elves and Dwarves. As would be obvious, she has long been a friend of Galadriel, Celeborn, Haldir, and many others in Lothlorien. She's just not keen on Rivendell, Mirkwood, or the Grey Havens, despite their bloodlines.

I never quite saw that in her...

Fact is though, the Elves of Mithlond and Rivendell would have a far larger amount of 'pure' Teleri and Noldor in their populations, unlike Lothlorien that is apart from Galadriel and Celeborn practically entirely Silvan.

Two comments:

1. Radagast isn't with the company currently - he went on ahead before the pub fight. You need to edit that, I'm afraid ... (Edit: cross-posted)

2. Would A'mael have been introduced to Barufiniel?
Her husband has just realised that they are family. Barufiniel comes from Rivendell, though - but she is descended from Galadriel's brother, and her mother (who is related to Celeborn) used to be one of Galadriel's ladies-in-waiting until she got married a thousand years ago.
Perhaps he introduced Barufiniel to A'mael just before she walked off on her own?
Perhaps A'mael comments on this instead of on Radagast?

Mari and Varnafindë are right about Radagast, Amael, he's not around. You'll catch up with him only after journeying with the Raft Elves.

But it's best I warn you in advance, if you intend on having the child now, Radagast will not allow her to continue with the quest, he would send her to safety instead. Such a quest is too dangerous for new-born children and new mothers. He's likely to send her along with Raft Elves to safety if he even as much notices she's pregnant.

Besides, when they were in Dol Guldur you wrote she was but two months pregnant and that can't have been more than a month ago in game time. I know we spent over a year to write our characters getting from Rhosgobel to the Raft-Elves, but far less time has passed in the game.
