Okay, if I'm outnumbered with the "Yay For Jump"s, I can just post a whole bunch of times about Aerin's first impressions that could be important, if y'all don't mind reading something about someone, then a flashback, or a comment from Aerin, just to establish her place in the group.

If I must do that, I promise to do my best to make it as un-boring and un-expository as possible. Cross my heart and kiss my elbow.

'Oh dear. Borin, do you have a rope?'

Hahaha... Oh, my goodness. Hold on while I try not to pass out from laughing so hard.

...

..So intense. So suspenseful. Then Hedrim, as calm as if he'd spilled his morning coffee.

Sorry. That's how it sounded to me. As calm as if he were asking his wife, "Oh, Dear, do you have a towel? I spilt my coffee."

I do love this group!

I think we may have just cued the count down to a cave-in... oops.

Edit: Just to clarify Haldis' and Aerin's position. I've been going with the idea that along a linear plane, they're closer to the entrance than Radagast and Branwyn, but further away from it than Nami and Truor, who are probably off to the side of Hedrim, Borin and company; and that along a vertical plane Haldis and Aerin are on a level that's deeper down, possibly under, or deeper and to the side of whatever body of water Quickleaf just fell into.

You mean Aerin's almost-yelling, or Haldis' binding spell, is bringing Dol Guldur from its knees to all-fours? whoa...

I suppose if I were wearing a hat, I'd tip it to you, Mr. Current Comic Relief.

That really was super funny!

I was actually thinking of the impact of a falling elf and masonry on the floor/ceiling of an underground tunnel already weakened by erosion from water causing a discreet portion of the tunnels to crumble in a threatening fashion.

Aerin's yelling is hardly to blame and the binding spell has absolutely nothing to do with anything except making it uncomfortable for Haldis to linger down there and possible for her and Aerin to find their way out despite being totally lost.

Oh. I thought perhaps the binding spell was somehow tugging at the space between Haldis and Tabril, putting some sort of strain on whatever may lie between them, in an effort to get rid of whatever may lie between them.

No... if they were deeper in and deliberately heading in the wrong direction, it might exert that amount of force, but since Haldis is passively allowing it to herd her back it doesn't need to and is merely pulling her along the correct route.

I'm glad you think so. Although I've got to say you all are a great set of players too, I wouldn't have gotten this far without you guys.

EDIT: Err, Coffeehouse, did I read that right, did you just kill off your character?
I was thinking that the water that Quickleaf fell into was part of some underground river/passage, which makes it even more interesting if the elf and the witchy woman is even further down! Suspense

Just to clarify, Quickleaf isn't dead.

Does he need to be pulled out? It can be arranged.

I suppose the water may be Dol Guldur's natural water supply. Even orcs need to drink and what better use of an underground river? Although, without four years of maintenance, some floors above may have weakened. Curious it gave way under the light-weight elf, instead of say, heavily armoured Hedrim.

Also no cave-ins until I say so, we still haven't found what we are looking for, only afterwards can the place go to hell, like in almost every adventure movie or book.

You better wake quickly then. Falling unconcious into dark running water is a sure way to get drowned. How long does it usually take for the brain to be starved of oxygen? Three minutes? The clock is ticking!

That could be fun, Radagast and the rest being busy peering into the dark hole, worrying that they don't have a rope, and that Quickleaf'll drown, while Haldis and Aerin leisurely stroll forward and ask "Did you guys misplace an elf by any chance?"

Or call up to them,as the case may be.

For purposes of medical convinience, let's assume that the current pinned Quickleaf against the grill with at least his nose above water giving us one drenched and unconscious, but not drowned, elf.

Oh Mari, Ingwionis' mentioning of the vision wasn't a chastisement, at least to him it wasn't. He was just really scared that it was coming true. When you're around foresight all day long, you tend to fear some of it when it starts to happen. He also doesn't like the caves all that much.

I'm just going to assume someone brought a rope because it really would be silly not to bring the most basic item like a rope when your going caving in Dol Guldor

But what good is a rope if the one intended to be rescued is out cold, unless one of you is willing to divest themself of their arms and be lowered down to the rescue. Just how deep is the hole anyways?

Edit: Wait Hedrim, in all his armor rappels down the side of the wall then proceeds to kneel besides the elf in an underground flowing river (or so I took it from reading the descriptions in this thread and the game) Er... I missed something.

The hole is not near the wall of the cavern, so really he just dangles his way down, in armor, presumably swings over a couple of feet to land on the damaged bridge and then runs over to Quickleaf, ignoring the ladies, and then kneels to check his breathing.

Some creative reading between the lines is occaisionally necessary to keep the interal physical reality from shifting too much. Unless it's supposed to be shifting.

Riiight. Forgot about that. My creative reading skills tend to wane in the wee hours of the morning.
