er?

what's this thread about?

(i mean - heh- i don't mind - but anyone wanna fill me in?)

gay adoption? Adoption?

How do we tally the genetic moral rights of the natural order with an appreciation of the moral code both of Christians and non-christians that are morally good?

You REALLY need to stop putting in those headlines...chops off a lot of what you say when you're quoted

I care that kids get good families too, but I disagree with that last sentence.

While I believe that it is just as possible for a gay family to be a horrible family as it is for them to be a great family, the same could be said of any heterosexual family.

You don't know enough, then. I can hook you up with a PFLAG meeting somewhere in your area, if you wish to gain knowledge before having an opinion.

Of course, everyone has an opinion and an..., they say. Informed ones are harder to come by, and therefore, more valuable.

Tessar, this is the Theology thread.

Exactly where would one get 'proof' for disagreeing with someone? My "directrevelationcam" isn't compatible with Windows.

For example, I said, "too many adoptable kids languish in the system." Now, if someone chose to challenge me on that, we'd get down to a debate over how MANY kids languishing in the system would be 'just enough.' Even if our debate centered solely on details of doctrine, there's always room for another angel on that pin, kwim?

So when I say hector, with more information, would reach another conclusion, I feel confident of that.

And he's a big boy. He blows me the raspberry often, when we disagree.

No harm, no foul, I hope.

Thank God I'm on a Mac, then! Mwah .

My statement was due to the fact that I've had some complaints before about personal comments being thrown around, and I simply wish to try to head off any avoidable bad-feelings if I can.

Plus it's been -DAYS- since I've gotten to use the Big Voice of Judgment and Admanlyness. I'm bored!

I'm a mess to manage...always have been.

And I know I routinely make Rian see red, for example, because she thinks I'm unnecessarily mean to Lief. Well, Lief called me a liar to my face on the full board, about the 2nd day I got here, so I didn't really get "Marquis of Queensbury" as my first impression of him, kwim? But still, I feel bad when I see I've set her off again.

But I try, as per the instructions, to use enough smilies (out of our paucity of choice ) to indicate that I'm a happy person with a slight "poke it with a stick" habit.

eh, it's not "unnecessarily mean" - it's personal insults, and it's not necessarily Lief or you, it's ANYONE that I think is being personally insulted by ANYONE. There's a lady here that hates my guts and has told me so many times to my (virtual) face, yet I've defended her before and would do so again in a second if I thought she was being wrongly attacked. I didn't see the liar thing from Lief, though - I was staying away from that thread for awhile and missed it, I guess.

The smilies help - typed communication is hard!!!

Anyway, I hope you can see that I don't bear grudges I just say what I think I gotta say, and it's over.

IT depends on what the person is saying.

Your sentence seemed to indiate that ALL gay families are good families, and I thought that's what hector was saying was wrong. I suppose it would be fairly easy to prove that NOT all gay families are good families by finding someone in a gay family who has abused their kid.
