We'll have a graduation ceremony tomorrow. Then on Saturday we'll have a fancy dinner and party at the pompous Grand Hôtel in Stockholm - all which is going to be awesome
I begin my new job on Valentine's day . Dunno when I'll actually move there but the flat and all my furniture are just waiting for me to arrive. I'll probably leave Stockholm at the end of January. It's all quite exciting!

Well, after this first quiz I actually feel a LOT more confident about the accounting class. It's not so horrible... it's just a lot of memorizing terms and formulas. The formulas are a little confusing, but heck.... my entire music education has been one long memorization of terms.
"Learn this aria, memorize these musical notations, memorize this composer's short bio, memorize the English translation to your French art song, memorize the composers of these eras.... TESSAR, WHY AREN'T YOU MEMORIZING THE NAMES OF YOUR POETRY WRITERS?" If there is one thing in life I'm getting good at, it's freakin' memorizing terms, yo? So relieved and happy. Now I have a violin lesson, and I teach a piano lesson. Then my violin teacher and I are gonna have an "Extras" marathon. |

Today offered a nice graduation ceremony, as well as a great party in the evening with fellow graduates. There will be more of the same tomorrow

Those are always nice days...I am too. I was given a letter yesterday saying that I've been nominated by the faculty and staff to attend a leadership academy (great for the experience and transcript!). A plus to that, we have Monday off for MLKJ Day!

I take it you won't be needing a nightcap, then.

Haha, a nightcap would be superfluous
Three hours of sleep tonight, but that's okay. I'm on a high of post-graduation happiness, pride and thankfulness today

Things will eventually be happy once more. And that, in and of itself, is something to look forward to and that, to a degree, must offer me the solace that has become necessary for me.
I'm glad to have returned and to see everyone in mostly-good spirits. Don't worry - my awkward posts won't make much of an appearance aside from this post. I'm on temporary leave from work and now on temporary leave from, well, pretty much everything else. Whether 'temporary' becomes permanent is yet to be seen.

Absolutely nothing. I've been sick for weeks now. As far as Amy, she's been busy taking care of the kids, and me. I would imagine that she's still posting around here, but I ain't sure.

Just got back my grade on my French class: 98/100. Of course, grades don't really matter here, since I'm doing it for self-improvement, rather than for school requirements. Still gives me that warm and self-important feeling.

*grabs a hunk of wood*
My week from you-know-where seems to be over! *knocks on wood* I'd extol what happened, but that seems more appropriate for the venting thread. In short, the headlight on my car is inexplicably working, our internet is up and running (along with our external hard drive which has all our music on it and now I can put music on my Christmas iPod touch), and our pipes are unfrozen with the pressure from the faucets back to normal! Although it did take two grown men and me about two hours to correctly assemble my bathroom faucet aerator of four small pieces... Anyway, yay for Sunday! Plus I have tomorrow off school and work! Yippee!

Also - my car is going to have a couple of days in the shop!
That means I get a super cool car from the rental company. Makes me want a fancy Ford Focus with Virginia plates all for my very own.
