What, your conscience prevents you from working against the forces of evil? I think your conscience is on backwards, Tess.

Never made it to work. I woke up in the middle of the night with a fever so high that I couldn't make myself get up, and I didn't want to call for help because my throat hurt and I knew I'd wake up my sisters too. By the time I was able to get on my feet and get downstairs (I think it was a few hours later) it was down to just 103.3, but then it took a couple more hours of icing to get it down to 99.
Now I feel back to normal, except that I'm just completely wiped out. I'm probably going to go back to sleep soon. Urgh. This sucks. If it's anything like last time, I'm going to keep getting fevers at night and it's going to last at least a week... I'm trying to use positive thinking though . And no, I am not going to the freaking doctor unless I absolutely must. Last time I went with this they were like, "Well, you don't have a fever now." And I was just like... I know that, jackass, I just TOLD YOU that the fever only comes on at night. |

No, you see, you're looking at this the wrong way. WALMART is on roughly the same moral level as the Witch-king of Angmar. If you're able to infiltrate and sabotage, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. It is, in fact, greatly to be praised.

Tess, you'll probably need a med cert for work.

Today sucks. I've been between 102.7 and 103.5 for the last three and a half hours, and although I'm still up at 103 right now I definitely feel a little better... I just hope it doesn't get higher again. For about three hours I didn't even have the energy to say 'yes' or 'no' if I wanted something. Geeze.
My parents are going to take me in for some blood work once I get better... or if I get worse again. |

YES! Sensible people! Blood work sounds like a plan.
Hope you feel better soon Tessar! *hugs*

I finally started sweating around 10:30, so the fever went down to 101.4 which is where it's been for the last five and a half hours.
But I seriously think my brain is fried . This is going to sound totally nuts, and it is, but this is what happens: Every time I close my eyes, even if I don't fall asleep (I can still see my clock), I end up in 'blanket city'. There are two, one is made up out of the light sheet my mom brought me, and the other one is darker and it's made up out of my comforter. I can't get comfortable in either city, and sometimes there's no one there--it's either too hot, or too cold, or being in the city makes you sick and you throw up... and you can't really 'see' anything, but the cities are there, and they're different but I don't know how. I think the comforter city might be industrial, but... I can't get a good look at it. Then sometimes, usually in the comforter city, there are people and they want me to sign papers and make up laws and documents because they can't find their feet so they can't get up. But I can't figure out how to fix the cities because I don't know how they work or what their purpose is. There are these city councils, and I do know there's a woman in the comforter city's council and she's got short brown hair that comes down to her shoulders, and she's wearing a red skirt-suit, and she's not happy with me. Then there's an old man with white hair and he hates me and keeps telling me that it's my fault because they've run out of resources. Then there's also something in the city, but I can't see it, and I don't think it's found me yet but it's looking for me. It's something pretty nasty, and it gets closer every time I'm in the cities. There used to be a way to get out of the cities, but now they're just endless mazes and the people can't figure out how to get out, and neither can I, although sometimes I think I can move between the cities. .... so yeah. Trying to stay completely awake now. That is some trippy shiz. |

...Yikes. Maybe if it finds you, you don't wake up.

Fever dreams are always totally farking mad. Good luck Tess... Sometimes though, be careful, trying to force yourself to stay awake makes the nightmares worse.

Or you could work to lower your fever by taking a febrifuge and sitting in a tub of tepid water.

I'm sorry, dear. Plan to relax more than your nature and thank heavens it's not in the middle of the school year. Mono can eat an exam week.

What is mono? Is it an abbreviation for something? Is it bad? *very worried look* Will it take a lot of time to heal?

Thanks guys.
I'd be laughing about it if it weren't for the fact that it's going to make me miss uncounted days of work, I'll probably lose a week or more of practice for voice, I'm supposedly going to be 'easily fatigued' for the next few months, I may get random fevers for the next few months, and I have to be super careful for about the next year to make sure that no one else in my family drinks or eats from -anything- after I do because none of them have had mono before. My oldest sister was laughing and saying, "Ohhh, Annnthony, been kissing someone you shouldn't have?" and I was like... Please don't make me get up and slap you. I was in bed miserable out of my brain for over two days... which is nothing compared to what many people in this world go through, but it was friggin' hell none the less. It's not really that funny. Blech. I'm still kind of P.O.'ed at the moment, but I'm sure that will pass quickly enough. This is just so stupid. -_- |
