He just wasnt elvish, that's why everyone overlooks him. The poor guy led his people over the mountains, went to live with (Fingolfin, I think. probably wrong. maybe Fingon, one of those northern Elves), then had all his people destoryed. Cmon, dark hair, strong build, but not too strong, gentle (he willingly let go of his life! The dude was quite a guy.)

For shame! Beor left Estolad and went to live with Finrod in Nargothrond until he died.

Well, once again I bring dishonor to my family. For some reason, I always thought he went north. I also dishonor my namesake, and I will punish myself accordingly. Please, do not hold me in the disrespect that I deserve. I hang my head in shame.

Well... can't be certain, but I believe we're told that Elendil had dark hair (?? or are we??) and we know Aragorn did. I've always thought there was a strong Beoran strain among the northern line of kings... on the other hand, maybe we can't therefore conclude that they ALL had dark hair (I've always pictured Isildur as a red-head, for some reason! ). Maybe you should use your imagination... 'sides, YOU might like the dark hair, but some of the others around here may prefer the blondes!

Glad somebody picked up on my 'between the covers' bit!
