But how friggin' COOL would it be to have Hilary Clinton as President!! A helluva lot cooler than the Bush Cartel, that's for sure. She's way cool, and it is about time we had a woman hold Commander In Chief reins around here. I seriously can't wait 'til that day really does come to us all here in America. A woman for President. Hell yeah.
A president who makes his living off of frivolous lawsuits...ehh I think I'd be sick.

The problem with another Clinton is Is that I wants some fresh blood another Clinton means the presidency will have been monopolized by two familys for the past two decades. Alternating Dynasty's?? What the Photon??

Thank goodness wwe won't have Hillary or Obama for our next president...

Let's talk about voting only for the sake of "firsts".

Let me put it this way:

I'm not a virulent Obama hater. I make fun of him, and I make fun of people that like him...etc, but I wouldn't say that he's an evil guy the way that Ted Kennedy, Barney Frank, or Robert Byrd is. I think that stuff about him "still being Muslim" is a bunch of bunk.

But this does not mean that I trust the country under Obama. He's a liberal through and through, I don't care what moderate gibberish he gabbles. His voting record speaks volumes even if his past is hazy.

If anyone wants to vote for Obama because he's black that's their right, but it is the WORST you could do for your country. But if you voted for him because you truly thought he was capable and smart and had the REAL qualifications, you are doing the best you can for your country by voting for the guy you think is right.

And I know that as soon as the elections are over, and we have (for the sake of example) let's say, John McCain; suddenly we'll be faced with a barrage of accusations a la "America is still racist!!!!!! Sexist pigsss!!!!!!" just because we didn't get Obama and Hillary in.

In the senate race down here in Tenn, Harold Ford lost against Bob Corker, and as soon as the morning-after paper came out, everything was "South still backwards for not voting Ford."

Let me ask you something people, who RUSHED to vote for Jesse Jackson when he ran for president? ALMOST NOBODY. Because he's annoying. He's so far from qualified it's a wonder he was even considered a serious candidate.

Let me tell you rigtht now that I couldn't give a half hoot for any Liberal candidate (McCain included), be he white, black, asian, hispanic, or a shade of gray.

IT'S NOT ABOUT RACE. And these types of things should NEVER be about race or sex, it should be about ABILITY.

"Well now yer sayin' that black people aren't capable!!!!!!"

No, I am saying that I would/and will vote for the black candidate if he is the most qualified.
I would vote Colin Powell over Obama. Hey? Good example isn't it?
I'll vote Condi over Hillary.

Voting on Race is Racist. Voting on Gender is Sexist.

I'll vote for whatever democrat gets the nod ....but Hillary Clinton is the smartest, most capable, and most experienced candidate, and she actually has the balls to do the right thing. This election should be a good one....provided there is no election fraud as in the last two. Somebody get on that!

To Sam Brownback if he's listening:

Dear Mr. Brownback, I'm sorry but I must pull my support for you back because of the rotten political move you made. You have joined the chorus of presidential candidates who disagree with Bush's troop reinforcements only to make themselves look independent minded. I call it backstabbing. And backsliding.

A soon-to-be-voter,
Samuel

Someone is going to pay!
I cannot BELIEVE this stupidity! I just can't believe that the Senators and Representatives would backstab this much.

As I've said before, all these politicians are coming out against the troop reinforcements, and it has NOTHING to do with their damn convictions. At least Obama is consistent. It has everything to do with simple "strategic" moves to make themselves look independent so they can run for President.

I'm calling out Sens. Sam Brownback, Chuck Hagel, and all the rest of you dork senators who are against it. You're nothing but a bunch of opportunists.

I'll vote for McCain if I have to...

How People Think:

Person: Ok, it's pretty obvious that Sen. Lamar Alexander is stepping around saying that he is for the Amnesty bill.

How Politician's Think:

Alexander: Bingo, all I have to do is say that I want border patrol agents on the ground (and I WON'T say where!), mix in a little stuff about America's security, and they'll never figure out that I'm for the amnesty bill.

Your first election Hector?

I remember what that felt like.

I agree. Voting against troop reinforcements (in Iraq, I assume) because the war in Iraq is unpopular is very short-sighted in my opinion. The USA has the responsibility to help get Iraq back on its feet after having helped screw it up, and more troops will be necessary to do so.

Yeah, I guess it will. But I've never been one of those cynical "my vote won't matter" types. You have to say to yourself "what if everyone thought the same thing and didn't vote?"

Oh I still vote, with much grumbling (and the fact that it's mandatory) but at least I'll be able to say afterwards 'Hey, I didn't vote for that loser!' But alas, by now it also has become: 'like hell am I voting ever again for thay guy!' There's nothing like politicians to destroy your hope for humanity...

Mandatory voting? *is deeply perplexed*

(BTW, I know what Mandatory means, I'm just trying to figure out why voting would be mandatory!)

I reckon it is to garantee a high turn-out of voters so that the election is valid.

Here it means everybody able to vote gets a voting letter in the mail before an election. When you go to vote, you have to take it with you and it is stamped afterwards, to serve as proof. If you don't vote I believe you can face a decent fine.

Gee, you don't think it could possibly have to do with the fact that he is Catholic, a pro-life religion...?

He's not supporting the troop reinforcement plan because of his Catholicism, after he's been supporting the President all along?

Maybe, but there are too many candidates out there doing the same.
I still like Brownback, I just wish he wouldn't try to "cash in" on the opportunity to disagree with the President on something they would normally agree on. It makes no sense.

BTW, McCain and Giuliani are also Catholic. I guess this means the theory of not being a viable candidate because of catholicism gets tossed...
