I hope not. I have noted down all the settings, that in the off-chance something goes wrong, I can set the bloody thing right again.
You never notice how much a luxury it is to be able to be online with more people at the same time, then when you no longer can.

I didn't. They didn't throw it.
I did, however, participate in a flashmob dance. I learned the whole thing in a couple of minutes.... my stage training proved itself invaluable, for once. |

I did that once! As a forum it wasn't a great succes, because my friends had no idea what to do with it (it was a specific one), but it looked great

Well I survived my first day of classes... forced myself to go to them, and I'm glad I did. The accounting is apparently going to be very challenging, but that's okay. I'm in the library right now about to start studying.
I also FINALLY got my hands on a DVD that the piano teacher at my school suggested, and so far I am freakin' LOVING it. So worth the wait. Just watched the first few sections of it and took some really detailed notes.... it's all about technique, and understanding the muscles involved so that you can prevent injury. I absolutely love it. It's making me wonder, between this and the voice pedagogy books, if I should look into getting certified as an Alexander Technique teacher once I graduate. I think it's a three year program, and it seems like something that I might really enjoy. I am always reading articles and books on muscles/breathing/etc. related to movement and relaxation. I've been thinking... I do want to go into business related to music and musicians... and with my interest in technique/relaxation/musculature related to music (something I've been reading about for a couple of years now)... so maybe I should look into the possibility of some sort of "musician technique/rehabilitation" center. LOTS of amateur, student and professional musicians get injured. Many of my friends have. It might be a perfect balance if I'm also looking to perform, because what better way to find the people who are looking for help with their technique than to be performing with them? I dunno... it's something to think about, maybe. So it's been a good day so far, and I am putting a good foot forward to start this semester off right.... by studying...... NOW. |

Yeah, I love to teach. I've always thought of teaching as being my "some day when I retire," job. Don't think that I want to do it right now in the public school system, but I'd love to be a private voice teacher.

I misread and thought you said you'd love to be a 'pirate voice teacher' and I thought how wonderfully that would suit you.

Haha, no need, it's been disbanded. It was a private forum for my chorus since some people were a bit difficult to get in touch with for practices and stuff.

WOW!
Congratulations! That's a wonderful achievement How does it feel? I remember graduating (but only with a BS) and it felt good, but kind of bittersweet, too - I had a lot of good times at school. When do you leave for your job?
