hmmm, let's see......where could you find twenty-seven broad stairs?
I want the exact location, precisely

Is it the stairs that lead to Orthanc?

Is there a trick in there, because I did give an exact location.

A partial answer was given but not the precise answer.

You were on the right path you just needed to be more precise and answer the question posed

OK, I really have no idea, but I'm giving this a shot.

Leading up to the empty throne of Gondor - oh wait, this is TTT. Before the tower of Orthanc?

"What did I tell you, Mr.Pippin?" said Sam, sheathing his sword. "Wolves won't get him. That was an eye-opener, and no doubt. Nearly singed the hair off my head!"

Okay. The stairs that lead to the Tower Orthanc, where Gandalf stood when talking to Saruman.

TD you are trying so hard, I'm going to relent and give it to you.

To be precise in the answer it should have been:

"On the eastern side, in the angle of two piers, a great door....and over it a window....up to the threshold mounted a flight of twenty-seven broad stairs." That answers where precisely they are.

Your go.

Ciao, TD! I want to ask you - can you rephrase the question, perhaps make it a bit more precise, 'cause I'd really love 2 give this one a try but you've got me with the way you've posed the question. I assume you mean to say, "What were the THREE answers GIVEN when Treebeard asked Merry and Pippin what they called...??? That last part has me confused; what they called what? Clarify, s'il vous plait, my dear Khamul!

Sorry Lotesse.
I'm not quite sure how to explain it other than that.
If it is that unclear I'll post another question.

referring to what Treebeard was called (as that is the way the question reads) The Ent, Fangorn and Treebeard are the three answers

Okay, as it seems that the way I put the question is confusing and I can't think of a better way of putting it with out giving you the answer I'll post a new question. The asnwers I was looking for were hill, shelf and step.

Easy question.
