Umm...no! Is there really a book called "Morgoth's Ring?" Where can I get it?! (Or should I finish the Unfinished Tales first? I'm more that halfway done with it now! I love it!) I'm sorry, this is going off topic...I couldn't help myself. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Yes, if I remember it right Morgoth’s Ring is the 10th volume in the History of Middle-Earth series. As such it doesn’t tell a new story, but retells part of the Silmarillion and gives a lot of information about the Eldar and their customs.

I've only read the Hobbit and LOTR once... *closes eyes and waits for everyone to throw rotting food at him* so I still have the History of Middle-Earth and the Silmillarion to go... I'll get them after I finish 5 other books... eek, that'll take a while. My book-reading list is *pretty* full. *gets hit in the head with a cabbage* ow...

I would be a Ranger. It would be fun. Think of the possibilities ...
Pros of being a Ranger: - You get to be really good friends with an Istar. - You get to go where-ever you like, whenever you like. - You get to carry swords around. - You get to give your swords names. - You get to have loads of secrets ( ... that could be a con) - You get to have loads of names. - You get to have an Elf Lord as your Dad. - You get to sit in bars unsettling hobbits (but I wouldn't coz I love hobbits) Cons of being a Ranger: - ... urm ... ??? Wait ... do you have to be a bloke to be a Ranger? Do you have to have had a tragic love history? I'm neither. Oh well ...

Race: that's a toughie. i'm too tall to be a hobbit and i can't cook, although i normally go barefoot and move silently and enjoy eating and going to parties. moving silently is also an elf trait, and although i eat like a hobbit i'm as skinny as an elf. i love archery way better than using a dagger and tall is the best. trees and hobbit holes are equally cool. i'm going to have to go with....(drumroll please) a VERTICALLY CHALLENGED ELF!!! (thanx to Daughter of Elros on that one )

if i weren't an Elf, if i were just a random dweller in Middle Earth, i would wander and live alternately in the Shire near the Brandywine (Baranduin) River, Rivendell, Lothlorien, and the Lonely Mountain. And oh yeah, Moria (after the Orcs are eradicated) and/or the Glittering Caves.
wheee!!! major sugar-high...*giggles insanely*

Well I already am an Elf. But I'll have you know I'm an Elf who scouts, not just your basic archer. I get prowl around Lorien waylaying newcomers. It's fun.

I would love to live in Rivendell. The warm fireplace, all the singing, deep thoughts happening everywhere. Of course, when I got a wild hair, I'd sing the road song and probably go to a pub in the Shire for an ale. I'd check out the Gamgee garden too. I could get high just looking at Elrond all day.

It's good as long as you get to prowl around in the forest.

Of course. Prowling in the forest is lots of fun! Wait, aren't you an orc, Wulazg?

hmmm...I would be an elf, and although prowling sounds fun I would much rather be singing (or playing the violin )*wonders:do elves have violins?*but maybe I could prowl when I get tired of scales now...where to live?
