Oh - you think Canada, the US or Europe would exist if it wasn't for OUR nukes to keep the Soviet Union in check.

We also we were only unseccessful in taking you over (last attempt in the War of 1812) was because you were protected by the British. If we wanted to now though - you wouldn't have a chance against us.

The initial conquest, sure- but what about the Resistance?

Fanatical bureaucrats launching suicide attacks on Abrams tanks armed with meter high bundles of forms to be filled out in quadruplicate in English and French.

i highly doubt that canada and the untied states would fight though and if we did then we would have the united nations backing us so good luck dealing with them but of course we will probably never fight

That is a good thing, though. I don't think Canada's military is big enough to fight a war. Canada puts more money into it's social programs than into its military. Something I feel other countries should take a look at.

My uncle once complained, though, that his own kids had to pay for their college education and that Canada pays for the children of imigrants to attend through huge grants. I don't know how much of this I got right. But if that is true, that 'sucks' (to use Gollum's words.

I don't know....... (about the uni thing). but, it doesn;t matter about our army, cause we haven't actually fought with our entire army in a long time. We are usually sent over as peace keepers after.

Hey Finrod, how did the canadian Idol thing go (i mean, how do you think you did?)? Was there actually one, or where you just pulling our leg?

I know that Canada's army fought in WWII, b/c I have a great uncle (or maybe great, great uncle??? not sure) who died there. But I don't know if they have participated in any other wars since.

Children of immigrants = Canadian-born citizens, right? I'm not sure what you are getting at here. All the universities here are public institutions. They get funding from the government. International students had to pay typically about 6x the tuition that Canadian students do for a Bachelor's degree where I was at. But Canadian is Canadian no matter where your parents are from. You yourself could be an immigrant but as long as you get your citizenship you pay the local fees.

No.. the imigrants to Canada. They would be not born in Canada in order to be imigrants. I think my uncle was talking about children of refugies (I think). Like I said, I'm not sure if I understood him or not.

Korea, Bosnia, Kosovo, and Gulf War I.

Not to mention that we were in WWI in 1914 and WWII in 1939 while Certain Other Nations Who Shall Remain Nameless didn't join until 1917 and 1941 respectively.
