There are other things besides LOTR?? WHAT!??!? That person *must* be crazy...

Hobbit, Sillmarillion, Morgoth's ring, Untold tales, Lost tales, Shaping of Middle Earth, Lays of Beleriand and more...yeah Tolkien wrote alot more than just LOTR.

Even if your war on me was just - as it was not,for were you ten times as wise you would have no right to rule me and mine, for your own profit you desired-even so, what will you say of your Torches in westfold and the children that lie dead there? So much for the House of Eorl. A lesser son of greater Sires am I, but I do not need to lick your fingers. Turn elsewither for I fear your voice has lost it's charm.

Indeed, some crazy person (I believe it was my sister) said that there was a life beside LOTR and and an outside, away from the entmoot, with flowers and sunshine... but I didn't believe her, she is very obvisously crazed

The female:male ratio for elves are pretty much equal, or at least sensible. Now how many female elves are there? One? Maybe two?
Well now, no wonder the elves are fading

Elves live in trees - 2 Points
Dwarves live in glittery caves - 2 Points
Hobbits live in comfy underground homes - 2 Points
Humans live in multi-floored above-ground houses - 2 Points
Ents live in the forests. Wait...they are the forests - 2 Points

Elves work with archery - 2 Points
Dwarves work with axes - 1 Point
Hobbits work with food - 2 Points
Humans work with swords - 1 Point
Ents work with natural infinite strength - 2 Points

Elves laugh, sing a lot, and talk forever - 2 Points
Dwarves collect precious gems and make purty things - 2 Points
Hobbits make delicious food - 2 Points
Humans guard their homes and watch for invading people - 0 Points
Ents relax and chill - 2 Points

Elves can walk on thin rope and sneak up on you silently - 2 Points
Dwarves can be very defensive and loud - 0 Points
Hobbits serve their delicious food at big parties - 2 Points
Humans practice for war and live by politics - 0 Points
Ents are still relaxing and chilling - 2 Points

Elves are almost always giggling at everything - 2 Points
Dwarves are almost always too proud of themselves - 0 Points
Hobbits are always content with what they got - 2 Points

Middle earth is a rather dangerous place. I wouldn't want to live in a place that is exciting, but without constant danger of being overrun. I think that working in a patroll out of Rivendell would be rather fun, or acting as a ranger on patroll would be good as well. There would be plenty of exciting things to do. If something really big came up, like like if you run into an army of goblins in the misties or something, then you always have Rivendell as a place to retreat to.

I am most like hobbits, physically, but if I could choose I'd be an elf.

Or perhaps Elfin...I"m your long lost sister RE!

Poor humans...getting bashed by all these other sentient bipeds.

The thing that makes men strong is that they multiply quickly. In middle earth they are like rats and cockroaches; very hard to eradicate as a race, though weak as individuals.

Did you ever see the movie, "Men in Black?" I think that the giant cockroach-disguised-as-a-human (and driving an exterminator truck) probably invented "Man-B-gone."

Of course, the person who had the audacity to say that there are other things in life besides LotR meant all of Tolkien's works, and related websites, films and languages. He must be crazy. I don't see anything else....*looks around* Do you?

Umm...no!
Is there really a book called "Morgoth's Ring?" Where can I get it?! (Or should I finish the Unfinished Tales first? I'm more that halfway done with it now! I love it!) I'm sorry, this is going off topic...I couldn't help myself.
