Whoa mama! Where did the pecs come from? He's never had muscles like that before!

I know they didn't CGI his eyes. They're always that blue, but it might be contacts.

Nixon mask?

They didn't CGI his eyes. See, depending on what the main color in the background is, your eyes if blue or green usually tend to appear more the opposite color than they really are. My eyes do that; they're originally blue, but sometimes look green. Blame the grass he's lying on. It's green.

Nixon? Yes, explain, Jerseydevil. I'm not fully aware of what you're talking about because I haven't seen Ice Storm.

In the DVD the scene is called Safe Sex. But Christina Ricci and Elijah Wood sort of experiment in that scene. It's a rated pg-13 scene - but the movie is rated R. Most of your fantasies with Elijah - aren't fantasies in that movie. Although a lot is just talk about things that have happened or are going to happen. In an interview that I read - he said he hated doing kissing scenes or any romantic scenes - so I'm really surprised he did Ice Storm. Katie Holmes also has a bit part in the movie.

It is a good movie though. Although you may be really upset by the ending.

Oh and about the Nixon mask - Christina puts on a Nixon halloween mask during the scene. That's why I called it the Nixon Mask scene. The movie takes place in the early 70's.

Tomatometer Reviews
There are a bunch of reviews about the movie on that page. If you look at the Austin Chronicle review - you'll see what I'm talking about.

Dang he should SMILE more. He's cute when he smiles. You should check this one out.He is ADORABLE in this picture. That's because he's SMILING(kind of)CUTE CUTE CUTE CUTE CUTE!!!
http://www.fantasyplanet.cz/gfx/pict...3_10_0_41.jpg.
The cool thing about Elijah Wood is that he's not a typical actor, you know divorcing five months after getting married and all that, he doesn't even have a girlfriend. Yeah he does smoke and has a tattoo and I was kind of suprised when I heard that but then I remembered that though smoking and getting a tattoo is like really wild and wayward were I live, but doing ONLY that in Hollywood is stiff and controled.
Yeah he has contacts but not to make his eyes any blue-er(Can that be POSSIBLE? Methinks not), he's like nearsighted or something, all I can say is"Like the contacts better".
Alas the story is ended.*sits down and sighs* now the thread might go down in history as the funniest thing that ever HAPPENED at Entmoot or it might not. Either way all good things usually come to an end....so let's keep this thing going as long as we can hmmmm. Have any of you fellow fans seen The Bumblebee Flies Anyway? It's not as good as Forever Young but it ranks high in on my "Good movies Elijah Wood has been in" list.

That link isn't working for me!

The only other Elijah movies I have seen are Deep Impact (hated it) and The Faculty (pretty cool!), and I had no idea who he was at the time. His eyes really are remarkable. I'd better not think about that though. *sighs dreamily* So . . . remarkable . . . truly beautiful . . . *smacks herself* Ack!!! Pull it together!! I really dislike the smoking thing, but I guess it's his choice. As for tattoos, I think they're rather cool. Especially since the one he has is the rune for '9' and is in memory of making LotR!
I'm glad this thread turned out to be the "funniest thing that ever happened at Entmoot"! Who would've known it? *laughs maniacally and smacks herself*

I don't know why it actually has to end. How do we know that Frodo - in trying to subconciously protect the ring - didn't hit the "Kitchen Timer" button instead of cook?

Oh . . . my . . . ERU!!!

What if it's still there? What if it only half-melted? What if it divided like an amoeba and now there are two, or three, or more? What if Martha wears on on each finger and takes over the world and steals my beautiful new Frodo-clone??? *screams and runs away gibbering like Homer Simpson*

Whaddaya mean his eyes aren't CG'ed up?
Of course they are. It's standard procedure now for pics to get a touch up with the old software. It takes about 30 seconds, and works a treat. Done all the time. I do it myself (to get rid of red-eye effect).

He DOES have slightly noticable eyes, but all that means is it's the first thing people touch up and hilight on pics cos it's what EW fans want to see.

As far as him saying he hates lovey scenes, well, he's obviously gay (well, he certainly was when I went out with him). If I was playing opposite Christinna Ricci I'd have it written into my contract there'd have to be a bit of hanky-panky. She's so sexy in a weird kinda way...

I had found this - but I can't find the interview I was originally looking at that he said he didn't like kissing on screen and stuff. This is close enough though.

"(16:24:54) MeganRose inquires to Green Room: Elijah, what do you look for in a good script? What would or wouldn't you be uncomfortable with?

(16:25:45) M.V.W. says to Green Room: Did you like filming Alaska?

(16:26:05) Green Room says to MeganRose: No particular type of role or script.. Anything that is challenging for me as an actor. As far as uncomfortable. I am not comfortable with anything sexual."

HA! He doesn't wear colored contacts!! His eyes are naturally like that (except for the CGing)!

Wow, he sounds incredibly bored in that interview. We fans must be really annoying.

Actually since he was at an awards event - it could have been he was bored because of that and in a hurry. I guess the interview was takign place right before dinner was being served.

My sister worked as a PR person in Hollywood and went to the People's Choice Awards - the actors get their awards - go backstage - meet the press and then do the whole PR thing.

Who knows how many interviews and appearances he had to do before that chat took place. Also it didn't seem like a lot of people were asking questions on it either.

And by the way - my sister had told me that Elijah Wood had "nice person" status in Hollywood, as opposed to the actors that are difficult to work with and won't give you the time of day.

Awww, he's a "nice person." How sweet.

I can picture it now:
EW: Hmm, yes, I'd like the pasta alfredo please, and -
CrzyFan: OHMYGOD!!! Elijah, I love you!
EW: Heh heh, that's nice.
Fangrl: What kind of scripts do you choose, Elijah?
EW: Whatever is challenging. Now, about my pasta -
ILuVU: How do you choose your movies? I love you!!!
EW: I always try something new, and thanks. I'd like the -
CrzyFan: I love you!!
Fangrl: He's mine! I LOVE YOU ELIJAH!!
ILuVU: No, I do! I dooo!!!
EW: *sighs*

Frodofriend - stop assuming everyone else would react to meeting him like you would!

And don't scare him with your 'we'll see about lovey stuff' thingy
Unless of course he likes being tied up and dominated. Which is of course completely possible. So I've heard...

BTW, on a completely unrelated thread, have you read Stephen King's Misery book? Dunno what made me think of that one :P

Eh, so what, he doesn't like doing sexual scenes. Big deal. I'd like to watch them, though...

And since I already like Christina Ricci, she is now officially a goddess is my book for being able to do that...erm..."stuff" with Elijah. *giggles inanely*

Okay, now I'm appearing more and more childish as each word gets posted, but I'm about to read the AC (Austin Chronical) review. I might rent this movie to see it...as long as my brother doesn't threat to tease me about it. He's already caught on that three of my favorite movies of all time star Elijah....ironic little ditty there, eh?

To music of a pipe unseen,
And light of starts was in her hair,
And in her raiment glimmering

There Beren came from mountains cold,
And lost he wandered under leaves,
And where the Elven-river rolled.
He walked alone and sorrowing.
He peered between the hemlock-leaves
And saw in wonder flowers of gold
Upon her mantle and her sleeves,
And her hair like shadow following.

He sought her ever, wandering far
Where leaves or years were thickly strewn,
By light of moon and ray of star
In frosty heavens shivering.
Her mantle glinted in the moon.
And on a hill-top high and far
She danced, and at her feet was strewn
A mist of silver quivering.

Gerbil just thinks all men should be comfortable with sexual-related things or they're gay. Typical of him to stereotype his own gender. Personally, I think Elijah isn't comfortable with it because (please forgive me, dear FrodoFriend!) he might have a girlfriend, or might've had one at the time he said that, or would rather kiss a girl because he wants to and not have a director tell him he has to. Catch my drift, shorty?
