At the same time as an elf and dwarf faced off against a Uruk in Moria, Fimbren entered the orc camp. He had found and killed an orc scout and using tyhe same arts as Finrod had on the quest for the silmaril so long ago, transformed himself to the likeness of an orc.
He entered the camp and was accepted as a great captain, for so he appeared. That night, this new orc lord sat by the fire and told them the tale of an elf lord called Fimbren who fought both Morgoth and Sauron in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd ages. Then one day he had joined a host going to retake Moria. They had caught the tale of an orc host following so he went back to fight them. "So this Fimbren is on his way?" asked an orc. "No he's already here" said the new 'orc'. The orcs stod and lokked around quickly. Fimbren took that moment to draw two swords, one shining silver blue and the other black and slew the two orc generals. Then, his disguise fallen away, he slew scores of orcs before running and mounting his horse and riding back to his company before the orcs could do anything. "There," he thought, "That should help us, less numbers and no leaders." When he got back to the camp everyone was suprised to see him. "FIMBREN!! Yelled Lara, "you're hurt!" He looked down to see his left arm limp and streaming blood, suddenly he felt light headed and reralized how much blood he had lost. He slumped down and Halbarad caught him before his blacked out. Not to wake until the next morning. Last edited by Finrod Felagund : 06-04-2002 at 02:45 PM. |

Halbarad placed Fimbren gently on some hides and called for Alaird. While he was running over to them Halbarad ripped off the sleeve of Fimbren. His arm was cut from the elbow nearly to the wrist. The poison of the blade already seemed to be setting in. After Alaird had cleaned cleaned the blood from Fimbrens arm he saw that around the cut the skin was green. Alaird then tended him for long into the night while Halbarad and Lara sat near along with Maew.

Lara watched as Alraid carefully wrapped the clean white gauze tightly around the elf Fimbren's arm. Halbarad and Maew sat on either side of her, serious and silent, but Lara knew what they were thinking.
They probably thought that she had failed the mission, failed as a captain, failed as a friend. She had let many of her companions get wounded, an orc host was nearly upon them and they were not even close to Rivendell much less Moria. Halbarad probably would tell her comander that she was not fit for duty as a captain. The worst thing about it was the thought of Halbarad being angry with her and dissapointed in her. Halbarad, who had said that she was a good commander and that she was doing a fine job. Lara felt a tear slide down her cheek, but she didn't care if anyone saw. What did it matter if they thought her not tough enough for the job. It was beyond her now...

Halbarad looked at Lara and saw that she was silently crying. He asked, though already knowing the answer,"What troubles you Lara?"
"I have failed. The King put his trust in an unworthy person." Shocked at the sudden change of Lara's mood, Halbarad whispered to her: "Why would the King Elessar send you out upon this errand if he did not believe in you, Lara? He knew that you would be able to do this. Many unexpected things have befell your company. Many valiant men could not have done the job that you have. There is still hope yet, do not give up on me." Lara looked up and just stared at halbarad.

Lara smiled. He still believed in her, "Thank you Halbarad." She answered softly.
Halbarad suddenly blushed and looked down. "I believe he will be alright," Alaird said standing and brushing off his trousers, "He may have a bit of a headache when he awakes, but he'll live." Lara let out a sigh of relief. Maybe things weren't as bad as she thought. Lara stood along with the hobbit. "Well Gentlemen, you'll have to excuse for the evening." She said with a smile. Lara walked off to a secluded place not far from the throng of the camp and lay down. So Halbarad did not think her a complete failure and she had his faith. That was good...

OOC: The timeline in here has changed a bit since the begining (or, rather, it changed then changed back). Some of the time things are a little weird, for example, at this time, Alaird shouldn't have been born yet.
As Maew looked about at the company he could not help but see what grim fate ad already done to them. Kat rode behind Dai, Fimbren lay beside his grazing horse, wounded with a poisoned blade as was Kal who lay half concious strapped to her horse lest she fall off. 'Lara,' he called. 'We are only a few hours hard ride from Rivendell, we must press on. We must get Fimbren and Kal aid, and soon.' Not waiting for a reply, he turned to Halbarad, 'I believe Fimbren must ride with you, friend, the hobbit ponies are too small and Dai and I already have passengers.' Coming back, Lara gathered the reins of Fimbren's stalion, 'You are right, Maew,' she said, 'we have very little time.' Kal's horse, Linsul, was getting used to Maew's inexpert guidance, as he mounted the company set off and in four hours time they had reached the gates of Rivendell. |

The Final Battle (Pt. 1)
"GrrrrraaaAAAAARRRRRRR!!! I WILL DESTROY YOU ALL!" Bâshlok screamed at the top of his lungs. He swung out at Eäráng, but he lept back and dodged the blow. His sword was glittering in the dim light, flashing blue. His blade was made during the Goblin Wars, and was one of the blades that was recovered at the Troll's lair. That particular sword was Glamdring, the Orc-cleaver, and that was the sword that Eäráng held up in front of him now. The elf struck at Bâshlok many times, but each time the Uruk-hai dodged it or deflected it. Then, Eäráng saw the death blow. The Madh-shapat had risen into the air, Bâshlok in the dim light looked like the Angel of Death. Suddenly, Dorong came out of nowhere to deal Bâshlok a deep gash in his side. Unfortunately for the elf and dwarf, the gash was quickly healed. Now there were three combatants, and they all wanted to take, or to keep, Khazad-dum...

There they found the sons of Elrond. "What bring you here and what has happened to our kinsman, Fimbren?" With an urgency in his voice Halbarad said "An orc wound. It has been tended but the poison seems to still be at work. Your father's skill is needed." they continued down the path before the House of Elrond, and here they dismounted. Gently picking up Fimbren he was led inside along with another gondorean holding Kal. The brothers then brought them to seperate beds and Halbarad and the other man laid the two down. When they returned outside Elrond was speaking with Lara while their horses were being lead away tot he stables.

The Final Battle (Pt. 2)
The exhausted warriors Eäráng and Dorong were taking a beating. Bâshlok was beating them back again and again, and by now they were tired. Bâshlok finally struck the death blow for Dorong, though, when the Madh-shapat was slung right through the dwarf's torso. Eäráng had the look of hate in his eyes as he swung at Bâshlok once again, only this time was different. The sword connected with Bâshlok's right arm and cleaved away the hand. Given the ability of self healing, though, the Uruk-hai was back, now even deadlier, with the Madh-shapat gleaming red. With the blunt end of the sword, Bâshlok bashed Eäráng's head and knocked him out, and then the most extraordinary thing happened.

Fimbren awoke to hear Lara and Halbarad's voices and some fair voices.
Elves, he thought. Then he looked around and ralized he was in Rivendell and that the elves were Elrohir, Elladan and Celeborn. Fimbren smiled and rose, his left arm limp. He had some athelas so he'd just have Alaird boil it later and help him bathe his arm. He walked outside. Everyone was suprised and overjoyed. He embraced Celeborn and then Elrond's sons and Lara. He stopped at Halbarad and looked at hi intently for a moment before embracing him as well and whispering in his ear, "Well done my friend." Last edited by Finrod Felagund : 06-05-2002 at 02:17 PM. |

OOC: This is enough years after the war for Sam and Pippin to have a grandson and when Frodo left, Sam only had Elanor so Elrond is definitely gone. Alaird IS born so its more than four years after. We can alter the plot of our RPG but not other characters lives. And please don't call me an ass. I would really appreciate that.
