No, I know what you're saying Lady Ravyn. I think mods and admins can differentiate between the two, they let harmless spam slide when appropriate.

My Dear Fellow Mooters,
To say that one Mooter loves Tolkien more than another is a crime against Mooters.
All Mooters are equal in Tolkien's eyes, as well as in mine.
My duty to the Moot is long overdue.
The joys that this message board has to offer I have taken; and I feel it my duty and responsibility to take my own joy and double it, and return the joy twofold, no, even triplefold, to this wondrous Tolkien-loving board.
I admit, I am not too keen on "real" politics. But does this board need "real" politics? What are "real" politics?
All I know to rule by is my logic, my trust in the good judement of my fellow Mooters, my own good judgement, and my trust in God.

I promise you, a more sincere and straightforward (that speech was straight from the heart!) presidential candidate you will not find.

I trust you will vote for the candidate you know who will keep good his promises, make peace where needed, and who will rule with an open mind and fair judgement.

Well said Hector, I don't know if anyone, especially another candidate could put it so simply yet eloquently. *applauds while magically waving his standard with no hands*

I want only say that the Electoral College has decided to make it clear what was already said in the rules of the Election (see announcemets): all qualified members are allowed to vote. That means that candidates are allowed to vote.

The candidate that receives more votes will be the President, no matter the margin he obtains to the second one.

*Prepares to vote for Hector*

Even tho I was initially bias, Hector has done an incredible job in showing why he is simply the best person for the job.

I agree! Even though your computer was kaput for a week, you're still the only presidential candidate that has put any real effort into campaigning.

No disrespect to the other candidates is intended, I'm just pointing out what I see. If I've missed someone, now's the chance to set the record straight.

Yeah, speaking of which, wasn't Jonathan supposed to come back 1 week later? And it's been at least two. Hmm... maybe he's actually counting on JD being allowed to campaign for him in the Official Debate.

Well JD can campaign for him here. He is busy developping a website and probably other things. Lots of RL going on! However now that Hector's computer is working, he's still campaigning though I'm sure he's busy with school.

So Hector, would i possibly be worthy of being the offical standard bearer of your campaign?

Being new here, don't you think this is a bit... hasty?? Maybe best to get to know some of the other candidates as well, perhaps? Then you may be better able to decide from among them.

Some have refrained from active campaigning initially... don't mistake this for lack of interest, aptness or ability.

i dont mind being hasty for i am no ent

do not mistake me for someone who does not already know the ins and out of politics

having stood as chairman, treadsurer and secretary of various student bodies
chief steward, asst secretary and committee member of various canine societies
and, in real politics, i stood for my county as an MYP

Besides, if you identify well with a party who is actually campaigning, why not vote for them?

Well, technically, if you consider yourself political and want to identify with your candidate, Jonathan would probably be the one to vote for, being the best friend of JD and nominated by JD. But Hector's better, even though I feel kinda bad because I supported them in the beginning, and Rad's my friend.

Hey, check it out, I'm vulnerable and may be easily swayed yet. When are you coming out, Jon, SGH, FF?

That was before I noticed you guys really got the smilie!!

And that was what, half an hour ago? You work fast, Hector.

It was also a little subliminal lure to get SGH out here before she pulls something unpredicted on election day, which is drawing nearer. But now that you've got the smilie, I give up: You Win.
