I know it would be ridiculously out of character for all present, but I think it would be so funny and nicely fitting if someone slept in (to almost 11:00!) and made the whole troupe late. Then they would decide that they might as well eat lunch in the inn, since they're there anyway, and while they're eating, in walks Aerin with this talking badger in tow. Or to put it another way, in walks Nightshade with this weird elf in tow. However you want to see it.
That's JUST my opinion.

Feawen - Ashkaio asked who would go, and Elspeth said she had to look after her sheep, which he took as a roundabout way of saying she's not going.
It'd be awesome if he was wrong about that, though. Midge - that would be fun! Maybe someone has between-the-worlds jetlag?

Baru and Rivailen haven't had their supper yet - they should have it before going to bed, even if we do not describe it.

Midge has allowed me to play Aerin if needed during that time.
It's also possible to have some talking between Baru and Rivailen during their supper, and send them to bed and pick them up again ... What does the threadmaster think?

... Well, it doesn't much matter what the threadmaster thinks because I'm back.
I'm just about to go read up, but don't tell me that NOTHING happened while I was gone!

Sooooo... I'm thinking that... the people in the inn get a bump...
Aerin wants to be out of RPG limbo.

'Oh dear. Borin, do you have a rope?' How well I remember THAT post.
Yep, yep. Still cracks me up. It is so hard to pick what exactly I'm going to make Lur and Lantie notice first. Oh, man. This is going to be fun.

This is going to be fun to read, too!
I think I'll let Baru rest while waiting for Aika to play Rivailen - I don't feel happy about dismissing their supper and evening without her. And I don't think Nightshade and Aerin have more to discuss until they reach the inn, either. So I'll just lean back and read for a while

I briefly considered giving the Hobbits a similar folktale to the Green children of Woolpit. (Funny coincedense, eh? ) But then thought to have him never heard of green skinned people would be more interesting. It will make the idea of other worlds more readily acceptable.

I know we discussed them just being on the way to Minas Tirith, but wanting to get some clothes for these weird people would be a good reason for Indigo to drag them to a nearby village if we needed it. I doubt the cloak and coat will be widely accepted in decent society, yes?
Man, this cracks me up. I'm trying not to make them too perceptive, but still keep things moving. Also - if Indigo claims to be older than the twins, they will think he means he is wiser. In many things (like clothes, for instance), he is older, but they might start regarding him as some kind of go-to guy. Oh, how funny would that be? If my two green Perelandrians did a sort of imprinting on poor Indigo... Not where they call him "Mother", but where they think he is one of the wisest or "oldest" people in the land of Gondor...

Oh, Indigo would not even dare to travel with anyone dressed like that! He's a respectable Hobbit. He's insisting on the cloak and coat right now because he really wishes he could stop talking to naked people (if he is a bit fixated on that aspect it's because it really is upsetting his sense of propriety). From a Hobbit point of view it's even more unsettling.
And those two items were all the clothing he could reasonably have brought with him that might fit Big Folk. But eventually he most definitely would like them to be entirely and properly dressed before even thinking of travelling with them anywhere! And he's well-off and a good customer at the inn so he should be able to get them fitting clothes there soon enough. He has to get back there to get his things and settle his account first anyway. I'm convinced he will enlist the landlady's help to see them dressed, especially Lantura, because a gentlehobbit having to explain how she has to put on women's underwear? Just not done! The twins may consider him the go-to guy for a while as he's the first one that they meet and one who will probably end up doing most explanations. It would probably stroke his ego quite a bit. But I reckon that will change the moment they get to Minas Tirith. Even the twins would quickly notice there are 'older' people there.

Yes, I suppose so. If Indigo defers to someone in particular, also, that person may be in danger of Lur and Lantura following him/her also.
This whole idea is making me laugh so hard. I never would have guessed, but it's pretty fun to write from the point of view of people completely ignorant of normal customs.
