We do have roles in the film and many extras to fill as well! Hector, is it you, Kiwi, or I that is in charge of casting, or do we have someone to take on that role already?

I'll take on the task of getting everyone to a consensus as to where we should film the movie, if you feel we should decide that right away.

I'll have to add that to the "need" list...
ATTENTION!: WE NEED A CASTING DIRECTOR!
anyway, yeah Nirvingiel, go ahead with the concensus thing.
I'll be hav9ing the final word on casting, with yours(Nirv) and azalea's second opinion. and of course i'll let the asst directors have a say too...

Location of Entmoot's "Lord of the Rings"

Yea! Thanks Hector.

Okay everyone, this is important. Where will our entire movie be filmed?

I expressed my personal preference of filming in one country, and my preffered location of British Columbia, Canada in this post:
Quote:
I was wondering where we should set the movie? I think we should choose one country for continuity purposes.

British Columbia would make an ideal location. In Vancouver, the established movie industry would give us the resources we need. Vancouver is surrounded by the beautiful Cascade mountains, covered with snow in the winter (Caradrhas). We have every type of ecosystem classification in the world, except tropical rainforest. We do have temperate rainforests, and the old-growth ones would make a perfect Fangorn! Last but not least, my hometown of Kamloops, would make an ideal Rohan. Kamloops is a beautiful grassland with rolling hills and Ponderosa Pine forests. There are also many ranches nearby where we could rent horses. Kamloops also has a strong film industry!
I don't want to dictate my ideas to the crew, I want the majority to agree on a good location. There are many beautiful and suitable places around the world besides my own country.

Here's another option, perhaps better than Canada: England! Or South Africa! (Tolkien lived in both these countries, and they are very picturesque.)

So what do you think? Throw out idea, opinions, brainstorms! All is welcome.

Deciding this is not yet urgent, but it would be nice to have this important detail settled.

I may have said this aready, but instead of making three HUGE movies, why not divide it as Tolkien did, into six?

Third Assistant Director
FF

And may I say, with alot...A LOT...of make up, I could play a great Gandalf. No jokes!

I think that's a great idea! Maybe even more if we want to. IMO, better to have a longer movie than cut out something important.

Add "Assistant Director" to your sig! All the cool kids are doing it... ok, so far only Hector and I have put our titles in our sigs.

Are you from the UK? I'm not, but when I went there, I remembered significant differences between Wales, the south-west counties, and Cornwall. Plus, I'm sure Jersey, Yorkshire, and Scotland are again different.

Yeah I'm from UK, i'm from Yorkshire, loads of countryside outside the cities, hey i'm thinking The Shire

There are areas of York which are gorgeous and remind me of Rohan/Gondor. It's a very medieval city and has an old castle from these times.

Or old Roman cities like Chester. I was thinking Herefordshire for The Shire, because it's known as the most rural county in England!

Hector, you're the casting director of the casting director! I made a pun. (It's because you'll assign someone to that role... ok, bad pun.)

People don't seem too excited about where the movie will be filmed, (except Varda Oiolosseo, yea) but it can be an ongoing project. Right now our candidates are:
1) Canada
2) England
3) South Africa
4) others?

Not necessarily in that order.
