Tinúviel was dancing there
To music of a pipe unseen,
And light of starts was in her hair,
And in her raiment glimmering

There Beren came from mountains cold,
And lost he wandered under leaves,
And where the Elven-river rolled.
He walked alone and sorrowing.
He peered between the hemlock-leaves
And saw in wonder flowers of gold
Upon her mantle and her sleeves,
And her hair like shadow following.

He sought her ever, wandering far
Where leaves or years were thickly strewn,
By light of moon and ray of star
In frosty heavens shivering.
Her mantle glinted in the moon.
And on a hill-top high and far
She danced, and at her feet was strewn
A mist of silver quivering.

I kinda liked Conspriracy Theory. I'm into that kind of stuff. I didn't like the references to 'The Catcher in the Rye'. (Bad Beatles reference)

Yeah, ages ago when it came out in cinema. It was okay: I remember liking it, but it wasn't anything spectacular.

Final Fantasy may have been a let down but it is not the worst movie by a long shot.
Lets take a recent-ish bad movie... Jeepers Creepers. Are you seriously telling me that FF was worse then Jeepers Creepers?

And let's not forget Resident Evil. Can you say 'Night of the Living Dead'? That was seriously one of the worst movies I've ever seen, which is saying a lot. What really pisses me off is that they expected a sequel.

To be fair, it was very true to the game. But yeah: it didn't translate that well into the film medium.

Anything with Robin Williams in

Especially Good Will Hunting. It actually made me puke.

Almost all hollywood films are boring, predictable pap churned out by accountants for an audience of cattle. Hollywood "stars" are almost entirely fatuous freeloaders and should be sold off to a glue factory.

There, glad I've got that off my chest.

Hmm, I'll be sure to invite you on my next fun evening out at the flicks! I do agree with the spirit of your post; however, I think, as do many people, that movies can be either an art form OR just some good entertainment. Occasionally you come across a movie that is both. It's because one comes across those that are NEITHER (which is all too frequently) that I can agree with your sentiments.

You dare insult Robin Williams?!?!? Are you sure it wasn't Matt Damon that made you puke?
You better not make that statement until you've seen 'One Hour Photo'! And 'Insomnia'! And 'Dead Poet's Society'!
But back to bad movies.......
What did everyone think of 'Minority Report'? Despite what everyone says, I really didn't like that movie. I can't see why anyone did. I admit it had some good points, but overall it was a horrible movie.

Sorry; should've kept that one for the venting thread.

Yes, I dare. Matt Damon also made me puke, but so did RW's performance in Dead Poets. It's that simpering half-smirk he pulls to signify sentiment, usually directed towards his latest under-privileged yet touched-with-genius patient/pupil/underling. Hack! Barf!

(Not seen One Hour Photo or Insomnia, so maybe evil roles better suit his talents)

The thing is, I've lost count of the number of times I've been to the flicks looking forward to some much-hyped entertainment and come out feeling like I've been robbed.

Seen Ratcatcher? Now there's a movie.

Okay, you and me, outside, right now! Beware, Dunadan...I will hunt you.
Never heard of Ratcatcher, don't want to.
What do they call people like you.......someone who sees the glass half empty......oh yeah, CYNIC!!!
Although I will admit that there have been movies that have been hyped up movies which weren't very good. Prime example, Star Wars Episode 1. Two was even worse (Lucas trying romance.....*shudder*), but it wasn't hyped as much.

Oh... Scary Movie 2... awful, horrible. *vomits*
Armagedon.
Deep Impact.

Hollywood sucks at depicting the end of the world. Completely. Mergh.

I hated Dead Poets' Society so much! But apart from that, and the abysmal recent(ish) adaptation of Mansfield Park, which made me want to throw things the worst film I've ever seen was called something like An Awfully Big Adventure - it was so bad I tried to forget the title! It had Alan Rickman and Hugh Grant in it and it was still terrible, which is quite an achievement.

I feel much better now. Who needs the Venting Thread?

Sooo many bad films.........but I'll try to stick to the fantasy/sci-fi genre.

Krull - so dodgy, so cliched, so terribly acted
Zardoz - Well, it had Sean Connery in it (a plus), it almost had a storyline, but it had the worst 70's inspired psychodelic camerawork and music........terrible, almost painfull to watch.
Attack of the 50ft Woman - the nineties re make staring Dahryl Hannah, 'nuff said.
Attack of the Killer Tomatoes - although tomatoes are evil (a fruit that masquerades as a vegetable) I've never personally felt particularly threatened by them, although I was once intimitated by a Brussell Sprout, but that's a different story.
He-Man the Movie - does not need a comment surely
Apollo 13 - a film with literally no atmosphere.
Conan the Barbarian - ok, Arnie may not have been attending acting classes at the time but they could have at least given him SOMETHING to say.
Queen of Darkness - and the inspiration for this film was from? Not from the book that's for sure.
Anything sci-fi related staring Dolph Lungdren or Jean Claude Van Damme, Unversal Soldier, Cyborg etc etc.................please

probs more to follow

My sisters made me watch that........it was so so bad, I couldn't watch all of it. AND my sisters now quote from it and watch it often. A really really disgusting film.
