Ok! A band from Texas....

I would walk ten miles on my hands and knees
Ain't no doubt about it baby It's you I aim to please
I'd wrestle with a lion and a grizzley bear
It's my life baby, but I don't care.

Hint: The band is named after a car.
Hmmmm, this one might be too Tuff! (that'a another hint!)

I'll leave the above song open for extra credit!
Let's try this....

Maybe someday, You'll see my face among the crowd

Maybe someday' I'll share your little distant cloud

Which song Hasty Ent. I really don't think either one was in Last Waltz. The extra credit one (cobra snake for a necktie would fit right in it! probably the blues roots) is newer than that, the Motown one, nah! In the extra credit one, the lead guitarist had a brother who was greatly admired for his open ended, rockin blues guitar. Unfortunately he died way too young in a plane crash! (mega hints )

No, not ZZ Top, a car is in the name.....

It's so cold in Alaska
it's so cold in Alaska
It's so cold in Alaska

another hint -- the song is from 1973

But she's not afraid to die
all her friends call her "Alaska"
When she takes speed, they laugh and ask her

more hints tomorrow, if necessary...time to go home and go to sleep!!!

you're right! Lou Reed is my all time favorite, and that song is called "Caroline Says II." It's from Berlin, for my money a perfect album... PM me if you want the rest of the lyrics

Oh NO!!!! I was right! , Now I've got to come up with more Lyrics! I'm playing this game on Xenite General topics also. It's getting tuff (ha ha) The hardest part is picking the lyrics! Not the guess. Lou Reed always has those drug/rush references. How about "Metal Machine Music"! Nice lyrics on that one! heehee. Give me a little while, and I'll give a clue.

I LOVE Metal Machine Music! I've listened to it start to finish many times -- guess I just can't get enough of that feedback!

My goodness Hasty! Did a little too much headbanging ehh!

New lyrics, (those Motown ones are still floating a few posts back)

The ice age is coming, the sun is zooming in
Meltdown expected, the wheat is growing thin
