Yeah, I did--happily enough (I think O.o) they've hired me. I'll be going in for orientation on July 15th and get my hours from there on.

I think I'm going to be up literally all night finishing my composition, which is due tomorrow. And now, it's not because I left it till the last minute . I had an outline, which shouldn't have taken me more than an hour to finish polishing up and finessing a bit to get sounding right.

But then I got this idea, and to put it in I realized that I'll have to change everything else to make it fit... So I'm going to. If I'm going to compose this thing with one good idea, I'm going to compose the rest of it to the best of my abilities too.

Argh. I may literally not go to bed tonight .

... and it all comes down to my stupid ego . I was putting in the new part, when I realized that even three weeks ago I would have been unable to write this piece because I didn't understand how the chord changes worked well enough to fit it in.

So basically I'm doing it now 'because I can'. I'm not sure if that's pushing myself to advance, or if it's being dumb and egotistical .

Been in that situation. Lots of empathy, comin your way.

Managers blow.

I hate it when managers think that they can get you to do something that, legaly, isnt your job, then hang you out to dry. If I was to get hurt tonight doing what I'd been doing, he could shrug it off, I'd be fired, and legal action could be taken against me, as well as all the people who became involved. And it was a VERY dangerous thing, as well. We came very close to serious injury a few times. And guess what: We have to continue tmmorrow. I may take this to store management.

That sounds horrible . If they're trying to make you do something illegal that could get you hurt or fired, do exactly what you're thinking about. Go to the management.

Ow. My feet hurt. Stupid high arches.

Went to see a podiatrist today for the first time and he was basically like: "Yeah, you're walking on tripods, change your gait or get orthodics, here's the code, call your insurance company and if they cover orthodics get them now."
And judging by the way they feel after every work shift he's it's good advice. Just inconvinient. Blah.

Tess, go for it!
Willow, does that mean that you walk in a wrong fashion?

My own (repeated) vent: job agencies... ARGH!
I know there are a lot of highschoolers in this town who are much cheaper then I am, but at least honestly tell me I'm too old, or indeed tell me when you decide to not give me the job!

Gawd, I had a HORRIBLE time sleeping last night. Didn't finally get off to La-La-Land till 4:30, then got up at 7:30. And I didn't get enough sleep the day before, either. Today is going to suck.

Yeah, I'm goin to today. I'm friendly with the store manager, and he's always there pretty much, so we may have a chat. You know, one of the guys that was out there had to stay 4 hours past his shift (making it a 16 hour day for him) to do this sh!t.

Gwai- um, hug? What's keeping you up?

Well, first, it was just that I couldn't get awake. And then it was that I was dumb enough to keep myself awake by doing something interesting while I waited to drift off.

Hmm, Have a les schwab around? If it is a slow leak or a puncture they repair it for like 12 bucks. Or, at least, they do here.

Have a spare?

One of my tires was horrible shape, and it just popped a couple of months ago. I've been a bit paranoid ever since. Our crappy roads don't help; I always think my tire is about to go again.
