I'm going to sleep for two hours now. I just wanted to post in the Elections thread

And that program seems to be useful. Where is it available for downloading?

You might want to try meebo too, Curu. It's all the IMs in one like Pidgin, but in an internet browser. That means you can do it from anywhere you have internet access, and also all your chat logs are stored online (always had problems having them scattered all over on different computers in the past...). They've recently added a lot of the good features, like file transfer and voice/video chat. All in all it's pretty nice.

05.33 am, I don't need tea, I need deep sleep

Can't sleep.. maybe I should take a run and get really tired and have a shower and want to sleep, but then it'll already be morning

Ooh! I have a reply to make in Not for Arda.

*will go do that, then return to reading her trashy, but entertaining, historical romance novel*

You're a she!? I didn't know that

Hey I deserve some credit. I just ran all the way up to the university campus and down again, and now I'm having a nice shower and hopefully 2 hours of blissful sleep

Yes, I am a she.

It's okay, though, it's what I get for liking male characters better than the female ones.

EDIT: Oh, and Varna, I just saw your post. I downloaded it from http://www.pidgin.im

Before I get some very very late early morning sleep I have to revise that my outburst which wasn't very gentlemanly I admit

A bit more elegantly..
You're a Lady? Brilliant! (Since you play the supermacho elf Abasi in Long Lost Leaves)

It's all good.

I'm actually rather flattered that you figured I was a guy when you read Abasi's posts. I must be doing something right!

Good morning!
Why have more Europeans been posting in the middle of the night then the expected Americans? Everyone having sleeping problems now?
I slept wonderfully!

Rinkë, I'm using Pidgin too. That's the programme that keeps messing up when we are talking...

Willow, congrats on being on time and making a good impression. Do tell us when you know the result! And if it's possible I'd like to see that pic of Haldis. She has a very distinct image in my mind. I wonder if it's the same as yours.

*the Monster Parents let loose their four year old monster-son in the cafe so that they can have a "quiet" cup of tea for themselves.

The monster-son walks around the cafe continuoulsy saying "My name is Leopold and Im four years old." to all customers having their "quiet" cup of tea.*

But why does that 90 second rule hit after we've posted? I tried again after 90 seconds (and added another sentence), only to find that my post had been posted the first time. With 90 seconds in between, there were five or six posts and a new page, so it doesn't look like double posting - but what way does it work?

And Coffehouse - which university?

Diana Wynne Jones rocks. Have you read the section on Broken Swords?

Yes to telling the results and to posting the picture when it is done. I'm rather fond of the way she's coming out. I was having trouble imagining her, and then I tried her with a sneaky look and freckles and she turned out quite photogenic.

Had to go look it up, but it was worth it!

Quote:
This Sword will probably be given to you as useless. Or you will find it on a corpse in a forest clearing. Get rid of it at once. Before the Tour has lasted much longer, you will be required to re-forge the bugger for a special purpose of a dangerous and frightening nature. First you will haveto spend nearly a year learning metalwork and forging and then you will have to do the unpleasant thing the Sword has set you up for. It is not worth it.

I look forward to seeing the finished picture, too!

Varna, I don't think I understand your question?

Willow, yay! Looking forward to it.

I just came back from my job interview. The lady was very impressed with my resume, but she wasn't very happy with the fact that I don't know my schedule for next schoolyear. I don't think I'll get the job.
Why can't being available for 2,5 months full-time in a row be enough?
