PLUS, I'm giving you a large rack of beef back ribs, with shoestring French Fries and Barbecue Sauce. My favorite. If you don't care for ribs, give 'em to me. I may have just stuffed myself, but Claim Jumper ribs are something extraordinary. Also, I'm giving you a CD of your favorite soundtracks to go with the meals."

Last night I ate a very nice piece of chocolate, but I was missing the fact that it didn't have nuts! You've made it all better.

"The Elven fencing skill is definitely appreciated. I've gotten to the top of my fencing class, with no one better than me, but that means I can't go higher up, and it can only go downhill. Several young fencers are pushing at their skill and are getting up toward my level . . . the elven skill is very timely .

"The cookbook is certainly appreciated, though the purpose is not . I made supper with my mother last night . . . I guess that's a start, but I haven't made it for her yet.

"The brain is certainly appreciated. Goodness knows I could use a replacement .

"The classmates and teachers are appreciated for sure! As to a girlfriend . . . hmm. We'll see if the Lord wills that yet. I'd get teased out of house and home by my siblings and parents, though . At least I've got some very, very friendly guinea pig girlfriends .

"For Inked, I'm giving a version of "The Case for Christ," hoping he doesn't already have it . It's my favorite book, I think, even though it's nonfiction and about evidence. If Inked has it, too bad for me , but really good for him .

"For Lotesse, I'm giving a large jug of absinthe and a sampling of three paperdolls from each time period I've drawn and colored them to (paperdolls being figures drawn on paper, colored in and played with in their hundreds). I'll also give you one of Jupiter's lightning bolts to fry those evildoers you want to fry . Also a plasma TV with a massive screen and high-tech capabilities.

"For RÃ*an, I'm giving a preview of my unpublished Hamilcar Barca novel. First, I need to finish it. It's at present about fifty pages long, but when finished may be over two hundred. Actually, that might be a rather unmanageable Christmas present. If so, I'll give you a version of one of my finished fantasy novels (90 pages long).

"I'm afraid that for now, these presents will have to remain virtual.

"For Acalewia, I'm giving a changeling servant to do your will.

"For Lady Marion, a map that can change at your command to give you a view of whatever area you're in. Indispensible for the traveler ."
