Gil- galad was an elven king.
Of him the harpers sadly sing:
the last whose realm was fair and free
between the mountains and the sea.

His sword was long, his lance was keen,
his shinig helm afar was seen;
the countless stars of heaven's field
were mirrored in his silver shield.

But long ago he rode away,
and where he dwelleth none can say;
for into darkness fell his star
in mordor where the shadows are.

Is this RPG during the early 4th age?

Looking at Adrian Baggins post at page 3 I noticed:

Quote:
and after all you have been through, I mean going with your brother all the way to Mordor and seeing him turn into basically a nervous wreck
Just good to know I haven't read anything in the discussion thread about any settled age... so I wondered...

Rock From spirit and from tree,
It walked the mountains with Glee,
The living rock,
the standing stone,
A creature stronger than bone,
Unseen and unheard,
Older than tree or bird,
Rock from spirit and from tree,
It walked the Mountains with Glee.

Hows that?

It could be. It doesn't make any difference to the plot what age it's in, but I think it does make some difference to some of the characters. Adrian's character has some rather major connections with book characters, so I suppose we're going with that for now.

Ok, I just thought that the 4rth age would affect the elves pretty much... They left for Valinor as we all know...
I guess my character has an excuse for staying, as he doesn't have much interaction with other elves, but for the other elves in this rpg, I find it strange that they still are there Are they still in the rpg anyway? Not many posts were spotted about elves (3 posts) and those were not of many sentences...
and I guess Frodo has travelled over seas with Gandalf, Bilbo and the elves? Ok...

I am done reading now... So I guess I can start working on my first post It was a pleassant read I must say... very interesting, and that Ontor is a very funny creature indeed!
My entrance will lie a little away from all of you, as I am at the borders of Lothlorien, though I think our paths might cross in near future, as birds comes often to Glimdrell with fresh news of the world about...

and yes, thanks Zavron for the comment on my poem... Your poem seems ok, though it has to have a certain rythm to make it cling a little more... Maybe like this:

Rock From spirit and from tree,
walked the mountains with a Glee,
living rock and standing stone,
creature stronger than the bone,
Unseen is and of unheard,
Older than the tree and bird,
Rock from spirit and from tree,
walked the Mountains with a Glee.

[Edit]
And I think I'll go with the none elves left in M-E thing... Would make my character more uniq also oh well...

[2nd Edit]
...or maybe not...

Adrian did mention in one of her posts that Frodo and Sam were still both in Hobbiton. If that's the case, then final exit of the elves hasn't happened yet. Although many of them have probably now gone, some logically would still be there.

I don't think the elves have left us entirely; they'll get here eventually. If everything else is already underway by the time they do, I'm sure we'll still be able to create a good entry for them.

Uh people, Frodo has left Middle Earth. In my post it says: As a last wish(as in before he left) he asked Sam to watch out for his "baby sis".

Soul of Rock, Mountain walker,
Echo of caves, Pure as Water,
Mountain walker, mountain walker,
Living Rock and standing stone,
Unseen and Unheard,
Older than tree or Bird,
Long lived without a word,
Unseen, Unheard,
Mountain Walker, Mountain Walker,
Cannot be hindered by Fire or water,

I guess I have to make the next move in order to get interactions between our characters, as my character really know how not to be seen... so just go on with your thing Lief and Eärniel... I might not start open interaction just yet ah well...

The length of your entrance post wasn't any problem. Yes, I think you're right that you'll have to make the next move as to what happens next in that area. The post I was planning to send next that concerns Athalt Cranain was the one in which he makes his entrance to Néred. You'll probably want to make Glimdrell's entrance earlier than that, though, and besides, things are pointing in such a way that quite a lot might happen on that day.

Just letting you know .

Meanwhile, Hruad has given Elise and Aasinav permission to keep an eye out for other likely quest members. Should the hobbits arrive in Néred now, or would you who are playing them rather enter them into events later? The elves (Not counting Arat-Falathion's elf), unless they really start sending long posts hard and fast, will probably have to join in after the company is already heading for the Barrow Downs.

Lief okay the hobbits are almost in Enedwaith so I don't know. We are about half a days journey to Enedwaith so what do you think we should do?

The characters of the hobbit thread haven't linked up with the times of the other threads yet, so that's one advantage. Frequently, like in Athalt Cranain's case, I simply made days pass, and they were disconnected from the passage of time with the other characters. You could simply make several days fly past in your next post, describe briefly their journey, and then place them in Néred .

If you don't want to do that, then you can make your characters meet ours on the road, like the elves will probably do.
