Congrats, BoP! And Gwai, too. I've never been to SF, but my dad has, and he liked it well enough.
Absolutely fantastic news! The inkling (Harley) just tried to escape his tank! This may sound bad, but it shows he is becoming more comfortable in his environment, and that the water quality is fine, otherwise he'd be dead already. I'm ecstatic!

Congrats on the pay raise, BoP!
Happy - despite all my extended family conspiring to prevent me from posting on two other boards that I enjoy immensely by getting themselves into various medical crises, I spent several hours catching up on the boards - and got out a very good story chapter on one of them, if I do say so meself! *modest look* And lots of good conversation on the other. And my foot's at about 90% now - needs to be taped up for another week, then hopefully just getting the strength back With it taped, I can now walk without pain, for the first time in 3 months!

I'm glad your foot's getting better Rían, it sucks to not be able to walk. My knee's been hurting a lot lately from running. Not to the point where I can't walk, but a lot. Which brings me to my happy thing for today. I have been going to the gym on campus a few days a week and I'm really enjoying it. I feel really good and it's actually sort of fun, though I do need to remember to bring my iPod for long cardio stretches of boredom. It definitely feels good to start to get in shape though.

I'm so happy to be happy again! Most of the clouds I had hanging over my head have disappeared and to further up my mood I just saw Sense and Sensibility again. *dances happily*
For your sake I'll try to restrain my happiness somewhat as not to drive you completely insane, but I make no promises. *is grinning broadly behind her screen* AND I do feel that I'm finally getting somewhere with the whole retake thing, which I might perhaps pass after all! Yay!

Picking up the cat from the vet today - he had diarrhoea & was vomiting all day yesterday. He's been on a drip, and is fine now (was dehydrated from all that vomiting/diarrhoea).

Aww, poor kitty! Glad he's better now!
What's his name? On a different note: HAPPY NEWS! My neighbour just knocked on the door: they are moving the party to the local pub! (very local one: same building ) No more Andre Hazes music = happiness. And I just finished the double stitching of my piano cover. Now I only need to do some final touches and it will be done! Yay! Now I need to go to bed... o_O

Yep, he came home, gave everything the once over to make nobody touched his stuff, scarfed down some food, and has now settled down for what has to be the longest clean I've ever seen him do (he's not the cleanest cat in the world... ). Yay!
Edit: His name's Pixel.

Happy: Went snow-sledding with the boys yesterday - for the first time we tried out a place locally called "Mount Trashmore" (used to be a dump / landfill or something).
Anyway - BOTH of the last two winters we've had very little snow. We had a decent snow in early December both times, and both times I took my oldest son out to sled in it, but left the other two home because they were either tired or sleeping or sick or cranky or something. But I figured I'd have plenty of other chances. And then... never enough snow to go again, or else no opportunity if we got a little. But yesterday... it was great! Good snow on the ground and a little more falling, cold enough but not too cold. Another dad with an older son even let me take a couple runs on an old-fashioned sled with metal runners (those are great - we had one as kids!). For awhile, we had a little "jump" set up, made from a straw bale and snow packed down to ramp up to it. I took it once myself, and so did both of the older two. I thought the boys would last no more than an hour, but we went at it for two, then picked up some hot chocolate mix on the way home. They're 9, 7 and 5 now - so I realized the last time we all three went they were 6, 4 and 2! Back then, we all crammed onto one sled. Anyway - they all took to it quickly and loved it - even the younger two, who hadn't done it for three years.

So, when the frat. told me that if I were going to be getting a phone call, it would be between 7-11, I was expecting to get a phone call.
Not for them to show up at my house and sing to me. o.O ... there really IS something about having a group of cute guys sing to you. It's rather... special. |

Hehe.. Tessar, that is great.
I'm happy. I feel like my stupid happy self again. Lately (that is, the past couple of years) I've been dragged into all kinds of drama, my intentions, feelings and attitudes have been questioned by others but mostly by me, I've found something I'll never have again, and gained things I'll never be able to forget. And now that is over. It was hard to get into and even harder to get out of, being there was easy. I don't regret any of it, regretting would be a huge waste and an even bigger mistake. I never want to regret experiences, they're what life is for. Now I'm sitting in the office (okay, it's a bit late for that.. But I don't mind X) listening to music (and singing a bit, too), drinking rooibos tea and writing. Life is good, as always.

Unfortunately, no, since they woke him up! It was about 10:20ish I think, so he and my mom had been asleep. Oh well.
I know they're going to try to talk me out of it tonight, but I can tell you right now they'll have to work pretty hard for that to actually work. I know I probably just sound stubborn and willful, but honestly... thanks to this kind of reluctance on their part, especially my mom's, I've felt excluded and unable to do things for as long as I can remember. This is -my- decision. And just... like when I got home from the doctor's office today... I spent three hours in that place just to be told I had a sinus infection, so I went and got the medication after OKing it with my dad. I get home, and I'm trying to relax on the couch... when my mom gets home she starts friggin' LECTURING me about my being sick, and then tells me how lucky I am because apparently my cousin had to be taken to the hospital for pneumonia. My parents are frustrating . But I got my invitation, and I got my antibiotics... so I'm good for the moment, I hope. |
