I just changed mine. Sometimes I find something that I like better than what I have at the moment. Someday I'm going to combine all the best of my avvies from various places and make an awesome animated one.

I brought some yummy nuts and fruit bread to share.

Suddenly, 90% of the Café winked out of existence...

"My Café! What the hell is going on!" wailed Nurvingiel, running outside in time to see a huge, black hand lifting away.
The construction had been completed recently, and people were just starting to get used to the new look. "Well, I guess it's back to the tent again. But how are we to stop this from hapenning again? What was that thing?"
The Café owner sadly walked back to the ruins, and noticed a note on the ground. It read:

Dear Thread Starter,
Your thread had more than 1000 replies, which puts a strain on our servers. Though we acknowledge that the owner of this board is giving us money for the express purpose of providing his board a server, we will still tell him how to run his board. Sorry about your thread being smashed to tiny bits.
Whinily, vBulletin.

Nurvingiel put the note in her pocket, confused. What was a thread? This was her café, now mysterioiusly destroyed by unknown and apparently whiny forces. She went back to the ruins to salvage any unbroken dishes, and her treasures - a beautiful mask (origin now forgotten), and one-volume copy of Lord of the Rings, and the Café Owner's Spoon of Wrath.

The End.

Or is it?

Duuuuuuuuuuude! The Café is short! Are the potholders I gave you for Christmas still here? *helps Nurv look for anything from the Café that might be left* Great story, by the way, Nurv. I had been searching my subscribed threads and wondering why the Teacup Cafe wasn't there...

I dunno Pip, let's search the wreckage! I think the giant hand of doom might have dropped a few things.

In the mean time, we can set up the tent again! I'll make everyone tea on this propane camp stove.

Ooh, it's like Flotsam and Jetsam! I love that chapter.

Woah. *looks around* Need a metal detector for lost metal items? *sees something large sticking out* Here's your Spoon of Wrath, Nurv!
*sets up beer making kit* Should be ready in about, oh, say, 2, 3 weeks, but, through the miracle of computer time, it's ready to be served now.

My Spoon of Wrath! Yay! Thanks Merry.

I want to put our banner back up, but I don't think I have enough characters left in the post to do it. Let's see what I can do with tinyurl first...

EDIT: Oh yeah, my big super long post of doom is now the beginning of the GLB thread, not this one. So no worries guys, the banner is back up.

Cool! So, I guess now we have to put up a tent, I guess. I wonder if it survived? *starts looking* Here it is! *holds up what used to be a tent and is now a piece of fabric with several holes in it* Oh bother.... anyone got some duct tape?

The thing about splitting posts over 1000 pages makes some posts a bit confusing. But it have to be done, so I shan't complain. Today I want a toast, do we have a toaster here? And maybe some chocolade milk

I was just about to ask. I've been to my first party, where I consumed alcohol is quantities I've never done before. Which is not ver much. But it was really cool, and now a nice lapsang would have been nice.
