Is it the Rohirrim king that helped Gondor during the invasion of the wainriders? (I have no name though).

Sorry for the delay... I'll have to just post a short one.
"I/_m/_e_n_/e_t_n/_l_v_/!/M_d_e_a_e_/! /_h_r_/a_e/_o_e/_i_g_s/_h_n/_a_e_!" SGH - what threw me off of Eorl was talking about 'Mundburg' - since he brought the Eotheod to the battle at Celebrant. However, I guess he was still rescuing 'Mundburg' - or Minas Tirith, as it may have fallen if they'd lost that battle. Also... maybe he didn't know just where he would encounter the enemy when he agreed to come from the north.

Your words are correct except 'ridges'!

Are the missing words "Midgewater", "midges" and "water" respectively?
And is the speaker Sam? |

Beren - your quote is correct, but Sam was not the speaker.
(he was more the uncomplaining sort)

Ok...since RTB didn't post, here it is:
" I / _i_l/ _i_g/ _o_/ a/ _o_g/ _f/ _h_/ m_i_e_ /_i_r_d_l/, /w_o/ _o_e/ t_e/ _a_e/ n_m_/ _s/ t_e/ _t_e_m/ b_s_d_/ _h_c_/ s_e/ _i_e_ /l_n_/ _g_./ I_/ _s/ _/ f_i_/ s_n_/ i_ /o_r/ _o_d_a_d /_o_g_e/; /_u_/ t_i_ /i_ /h_w /_t/ _u_s /_n /_h_ /W_s_r_n/ _p_e_h,/ _s /_o_e /_n /_i_e_d_l_ /n_w/ _i_g /_t." The speaker is pretty obvious, but that's the best I could come up with for now. Last edited by Beren3000 : 08-07-2004 at 03:57 PM. |

Rad. all words correct so far. It's actually Westron not "Westren", but it's ok.
Any guesses re the speaker. |
