Ha ha, what?

Learned how to change a car tire today. Also learned that spare tires (at least ours) are puny.

Yawn. I bored.

I just ate a HUGE sushi dinner. Ah, sashimi good. Mmm... miso soup. Ikura, my favorite.

What what?

I say, katt, old chum, come get this turtle! Especially since I am leaving in a few weeks.

But seriously, whenever I hear that strange English lingo from back in the day, I am always reminded of A) My grandfather B) The rabbits in the Redwall series.

Right, turtle. That's why there's an aquarium in the back of my car.

Sort'a away from the topic of conversation but it is aproaching my birthday (the 21st)

And just about every year aproaching my birthday it seems like birthdays are showing up everywhere (Such as tv shows showing birthday episiodes, I read the bit in LOTR about Bilbos birthday, etc.)

The typhoon is gone and it took the rain and clouds (but not the strong winds) with it!
Such a lovely summerday with the sounds of crickets in the air asks for watermelon!!!
Please take a part.
*passes around pieces of watermelon and napkins*
Can someone pass me the salt please?

I don't like it with salt, but it's a custom in the southern states of the US, and I guess other places, too.

I've heard that in Japan it's a sign of "being poor" to use salt on a watermelon. Because if you are rich you can buy a big sweet watermelon, but if you are poor you can only buy those that are not so sweet, so you need salt to bring out the sweet flavor.
And believe me, watermelons ARE expensive. But it's the same in the Netherlands and in the Netherlands it's usually more water than lemon, so for me it's kinda normal to have to use salt.
Try it! It really is (unexpctedly) good.
